Would the 72 inch rake work on a 78 in bucket?

The straps go around the bucket at 60 1/2" apart. 30 1/4" from the center of the bucket on each side. If unobstructed at least 1" either side of this line (for the 2" strap top and 1/2 back) you will be OK. The bottom of the bucket has the cable and you don't need the 2".

Here are the specs of what fits what. Says 72" rake will fit 66-78" bucket. Also note that the 72" is made of 5/8" steel but the two smaller ones are made from 1/2".

I'd say it will probably work better with a slightly larger bucket then a bucket that's narrower the the rake.

His bucket is larger. It's 78".

Yeah, I know...that's why I responded. That larger bucket would give full length support to the rake. A smaller bucket wouldn't.

I got the last 72-inch rake in Dripping Springs, TX. Still marked at $359, but rang up at $199. Thanks for the heads up.

I was planning to leave the rake as is, mount one side like you normally would and let the extra hang off the other side. For attaching the other side I was going to weld a new bottom tab and see about attaching the ratchet strap to either the middle or maybe the outside top tab.

Although, It will be a month before I get back to the tractor
