Cut a 72" one in half and sell the other half for $199I like the idea of a quick attach RR about 2'-3' wide to get the individual mesquites.

Ok, so you're thinking about mounting it so only one set of blades contacts the ground. Could work.
I've been thinking about modifying the RR to be used as a stand alone quick attachment. The bucket gets in the way more than anything.
110 pounds according to the instruction sheet... not sure if that's just the bar or with the straps and cables.Does anyone know how much the 72" model weighs? Thanks
Ok, I'll bite... why so much fabrication? Are you trying to get the long teeth pointing down and the short one pointing forward? ...and why do you think you need to do that?...might be possible to weld or otherwise attach the RR to a piece of angle iron and bolt the angle in place of the blade cutting edge...

My FEL bucket is about 60" wide so the 72" RR would have the strap brackets too far to the outside. But for $199 as opposed to $329 for the next smaller size, I'd rather go with the 72" if I can find one. Also, the 72" is made from thicker steel than the smaller one - 5/8 in steel compared to 1/2 in.
Jw5875 modded his to fit his bucket as shown in his picture -

But - I am not a welder nor do I know anyone who is. What might I expect to pay to have a local metal fab shop do the work of moving the brackets inward by one tooth on each side - and perhaps cut off the outermost 4 inches making it a 64" rake?
Or should I just buy the the smaller rake at the higher price?
Any input appreciated - thanks.
