Bruce

What is the weight on the 6' tiller? Is there anywhere that gives more construction detail? Steel thickness, etc?

Thanks

According to Kodiak's brochure, the 6ft tiller weighs in at 780 pounds. The 4ft is 600 and the 5ft is 690.

In 2-3 weeks I am purchasing a new Kodiak Rotary Cutter. I have looked at most all of their implements and I am impressed. I think for the money you can't beat them. I called Kodiak at there TN office and spoke to a tech. They were very willing to help me with my questions. This is a plus to their products in my opinion.

Seems like my Mahindra dealer told me the Kodiak are actually Pittsburgs or something like that. I cannot confirm that.

Just a comment ... I bought a 5' Kodiak tiller last year..... from Bruce.... go figure. What a piece of bullet-proof machinery! I've owned a Woods tiller in the past, and the Woods don't even come close to the Kodiak.

From that picture it looks a lot like a King Kutter painted red, with a different stand bolted on.

Don"t buy. Piece of ****. Tiller door is so light and flimsy it would have trouble spreading dust!

Save your money. You will be sorry how much they have made the machine extremely cheap as shown in there brochure. Check out the door on the back before you buy. It is not heavy enough to spread to spread dust.

I don't know about their tillers, but I've had a Kodiak rotory cutter for about a year or so now and it works great.

Yea, not a very convincing review there....

I've heard they're from the same China plant as the Tarter tillers but, to me, they don't look that terrible for a cheapie.

I purchased a Kodiak 5800 serire rototiller 4 ft. Used it for the first time this week. I really loved how it performs. I use a 1989 Kubota L-2050 DT tractor to power this tiller. I had a KUHN 50 inch tiller i have used for 24 years, and it was time for a replacement. The price for the Kodiak was very reasonable.
Although it weighs more than the Kuhn, it performs excellent, especially in hard untilled ground. Following the manufacturers instructions, I am well pleased with the results. I was looking to purchase a land pride, but after looking at the kodiak, and comparing the two, I made the decision to buy the Kodiak, and I am glad I did. Kodiak is made in Charleston TN. Parts, and technical help are always just a phone call away.
If you are looking for a good tiller, try the Kodiak.
