Update on my problem with the next door tenant and the fence he put up on my property...

I just talked to a person that lives on the other side of that tenants driveway and he told me he suspects there are drugs being sold back there...he said he stopped trying to count the number of cars that drive down that driveway everyday - just too many to keep up with...So my guess is ...it is a meth lab or some other illegal drug trade. My next step will be to contact the County Sheriff and let them use my farm to conduct surveillance...if they are even interested..
Not sure I would advertise that information. Never know, maybe a member of this forum.

Thanks Pirate...I know what you mean...but there is not enough info disclosed on this thread to alert the person even if he is on TBN, which I hope he's not, I have not said the location or my name and I will be sure to not ever get specific as to location...thanks again.

Hi Folks - sure is a lot of testosterone flying about these days it appears. I often wondered about the money spent, lives lost, lives ruined in the mid-east and now I'm thinking the next war will be with within our U.S. with all of the so-called self appointed commitatus. Were right back to the days of the Hatfield's and McCoys the way this forum is going. I'm not a chicken-butt in anyway. I believe in standing up for my right and I will, but guys - what the **** is worth shooting/killing another man or knocking his teeth out really satifying except that you are a supposed MAN. If TractorbyNet is screening for "dirty" language why in the heck do they allow this sort of trash. If that's the case - I'm out of here. They should have a forum just for the good ol boys from the south and you need permission to enter it!!! Grow up GUYS and find something worthwhile to talk about instead of trying to increment the # of postings after your name. Next time, pull down your pants, walk down Main St at High Noon, and show the whole world how big a man you really are!

Have a nice day -Gary

 What I was saying earlier, the "fence" part was arbitrary, then the excuse given was "moronic". Though it is quite possible the people have something else going on, it sure fits the "profile":D:laughing: love that word:laughing:

If this ends up being the case, that further solidifies Brins caution and prudence at the time. IMO

Hi Folks - Okay, okay! I apologize for my last uproar and never meant to hurt anyone that participated in this thread. I was out of line totally for my sermon.

I noticed the mention of legality from all aspects of doing whatever to one's neighbor on their property. However, if push comes to shove, a gun is involved and out of the truck or out of the holster, be it anywhere, on his property, your property, or in the middle of neutral territory such as the middle of a public road - the infamous word "intent" will be used. A whole lot more of legal jargon goes into these court cases but what is it going to cost to defend oneself in a courtroom? Posession of marijuana was once an expensive item to defend but it is getting less and less in costs lately. Is anyone willing to risk their farm and savings over it? I don't care where you live in the country, the law is the law and everyone's case is handled the same. What happens to your little lady with no one to protect her? I for one am not going to sit in jail for the rest of my life over 3/4 acres or waste everything I worked for all of my life to a lawyer. Brin is now and did handle it in an intelligent manner and it appears to has been resolved in a civil manner. If the staples in the tree are fully removed at this point there will be no harm to a veneer quality log. Nowadays the staples are not long enough to penetrate the bark and cambrium to even harm the treasure within If the neigbor is producing "Meth" on his rented property, we are not to make that determination when in reality just because it "appears" to be. There might even be a law to protect that neighbor in regards to visual trespassing his privacy. I guess if you look at the plausibility of one poster to say that he wasn't on the neighbors property, only the bucket. That bucket was attached to a machine on your side of the fence when the building got knocked over on his property.

As I said earlier in this post, I was way out of line, please accept my sincere apology, but also consider that violence only promotes more violence as that wound festers inside of you, it is like a cancer in that it takes precedence over a person making intelligent decisions in other things. If you are still mad - post it here and I will withdraw from this site.

Might I suggest re-reading that post? It said:
So one day I was brush hogging and found that he had built a storage shed against his side of the fence but had dumped the leftover dirt from the holes, concrete and scrap wood on my side. I figured I'd turned the other cheek more than enough times, so I scooped up two bucket loads of what I considered to be his "misplaced property" and deposited it on the roof of the new shed. Never had a problem after that.
As I read that post, he put 2 bucketloads of dirt/scraps ON the roof, he did NOT knock the shed over (emphasis added by me to the quote).

Well I think you did the right thing buy contacting the OWNER the renter really has no rights and if he is doing stuff without the owner knowing they need to know so they can keep a better eye on him

And to you Aaron, I truly apologize for my stupidity in misquoting an earler post. A man has no right to do that and live.....I guess. It must have been a small tractor that dumped the load on the roof to not wreck it.

I love property disputes/boundary problems. I met my wife (a real estate attorney) during discovery of a major dispute with Weyerhaeuser. And I'm glad I read the whole thread to read about the possibility of illegal activity.

The OP is doing everything correct, except for not having his property boundaries clearly marked with survey flags or similar.

I also would never take SWMBO into a dangerous situation, especially if it's rural and our bodies might not be found. Besides, she's a lawyer and can sue their wallet so deep they'll have no cushioning in their back pocket.

However in this case, if there seems to be illegal activity, if I (or SWMBO) did not know the local law WELL I would first call the Realtor and say thanks for your effort and oh by the way

The realtor might tell the owner and the renter get evicted.

The reason I write that is that we just bought a property in Mississippi with 4 workshops/sheds totaling 5,500 sq ft. The County is DRY not even near beer, consumption/possesion in public (and maybe private) is ILLEGAL. One of the workshops was used as a "party shed" for years. The owner, and host of the parties was a Deputy Sheriff. I was recently told that he used to have police cars block off the road when his parties got big. We also had a neighbor come by and complain about how big the parties were. I had to move out a dumpster of beer and booze containers. There were beer cans, bottles, wine boxes scattered around the area. Sometimes the local law enforcement may not be the best solution.
