Could it be that they were with N.Pelouisi when she was smoking that wacky week and popping the pills? It just seems they they are crawling out of the wood-work? Fast and Furious, we will never really know the total story, except it was the master plan to Gun-control concept?

I know I said I wasn't going to get into this, but it seems to continue. Just to be "fair and balanced, "Operation Wide Receiver", a much smaller operation took place during the Bush administration.

I don't want to argue the merits, just felt it needed to be thrown out there.

That was fair...the Feds just shouldn't be into gun running in any way, shape or form

Bird I don't know either, but I ran Mecgars for many years in the P226, and they worked flawlessly in USPSA/IPSC competition. As good as factory in my opinion. Bought them at the Tulsa gunshow for $15 each. (been quite a few years ago). Stay the heck away for USA mags or TripleK.

I ordered a 13 RD magazine and a 17 RD magazine directly from Sig. They arrived last night. The 17 RD magazine is very nice, clearly labelled "Sig Sauer" on one side, but in tiny print (I had to use a magnifying glass:laughing

it also says "MEC-GAR MADE IN ITALY".:laughing:

Bird, is that 17 round mag the 2 extra for a Sig 226? I just watched a review where the guy said it is very difficult to get that last round in there.
Why the 13 round? do you have a compact sig?

I'm seriously considering a Sig just so I can say I own one

When I look at them at the gun shop, they do look very well made, the fit and finish is near perfect. But it's like an interior decorating shop, all the different colors and finishes for them.

I like the controls on the Sig, and I especially like the flush fit of the bottom of the mag, compared to Glock's that stick out quite a bit, which probably does have something to do with their higher capacity.

I don't like the fact that the Sig weighs a full 1/2 pound more than the comparable Glock, with 2 less round capacity, and no more reliable.

I never shot one so it's hard to tell if I would really like the SA again, like I said I do like the controls, with the decocker to put it in DA for safely handling/ carrying.

I paid about $20 more for my "Sig" magazines ordered directly from Sig than the same ones from MidwayUSA when they had a sale. You do have to make sure they are OEM as shortly after the expiration of the AWB, I got some that did not have the logo. They function fine, but they aren't the same quality as Sig/Mec-Gar.
