- Getting old. Sold the ranch. Sold the tractors. Moved back to the city.
I've been looking at used tractors for a few months and am really close to pulling the trigger but the OCD in my wants to make sure I have looked everywhere. I have searched Fastline, TractorHouse, Ebay, and Craigslist. Am I missing somewhere obvious where people sell their tractors? I'm not set on one brand but have been looking at NH. Open to JD, MF, Kubota, Case. Thanks!
Randy
The antique tractor websites generally have classified ads with tractors for sale. Don't know if you're into old iron, but there's quite a bit of stuff out there.
I buy most of my old tractors for restoration locally (within 500 miles) off craigslist--5 purchases so far ranging from $1100 to $3600.
I find a lot of stuff I'd like searching eBay. It's my backup to CL since the stuff on eBAy generally is out of state and involves shipping hassle/cost. I did luck out last year and found a 2004 Isuzu NPR/EFI 8x14 ft stakebed truck on eBay that was for sale in the Sacramento area about 120 miles from my place. Test drove it and made the deal for $11K (seller was asking $13K)---6.0L GMC LQ-4 V-8 gasser, 4 speed auto, 49500 miles. Use it to haul my smaller parade tractors (3500 lb or so) to tractor club events. Love that tilt cab NPR-it's a classic
Good luck on your tractor quest
