The Bobcat tractors are made by Daedong which Kioti also sells. They are very nice tractors and have definitely been proven, but since they are much newer to the market, and have a lot less of a share, the value drops a lot more than say a Deere. So if you plan to keep it for a while, it's a great machine, but if you may trade up somewhere along the road then the resale will be quite a bit less than a Deere or Kubota. Just food for thought.

It is pretty amazing that the Kubota BX25 hasn't been mentioned! It probably outsells all the above combined. There's probably a reason.

The BX25 is a nice machine, and in overall sales it has probably sold more than the Max and Deere's new 1 series that have been out one year and Mahindra's Max that has yet to hit the dealer. It's really not competitive anymore, though. The Max specs out better with a couple nicer features (like no quarter inching) and a lower price tag. While if your looking for the nicest, most comfortable machine, the 1026r is the best option, but the price does reflect. The BX25 is a nice machine, no doubt, when it came out it was top of its class, but Deere and Mahindra have just upped the ante for the SCUTS. Kubota will be back, but for now, I see the best option elsewhere.

Kioti and BC will resale for less if sold used. But, I think that's more a reflection that they also cost much less up front. While a lot of people havne't heard of Kioti, they have been in the U.S. market since the early 80's. So, they are hardly new to the market any more. Their arrangements with BC and McCormick simply means they are a serious player now. So, I say get in while they are cheap, like Kubota was years ago. Their proven performance and growth across multiple brands means that eventually they will cost as much at the green, orange, red, or blue in the not too distant future. In some cases, this has already started to happen. But there is still more value there, in general.

To the OP, you will love the Bobcat. It's more of a real tractor than a SCUT. But still small enough to compete with the SCUTs for versitility and performance. The CT220 is a killer backhoe/loader setup. Kiotis are the same except they each use different loader/backhoe makers. I thin BC uses Rhino (good implements) and Kiot uses their own. Though at least Kioti (maybe BC too) can be fitted with a Rhino or Woods backhoe. Kioti attachments are very good too. Finding a MMM for Kioti might be a challenge. Though I've heard they are reintroducing a new MMM for the CK line.

My buddy has a 1026r and it is very nice but the price is $3000 higher than the other tractors I have looked at, is it really worth it?

Do yourself a favor, Get out and work with the dealers in your area on competing tractors and find what is right for you. Don't let anyone tell you what is the best for you. See post #2. That is the correct one.

Believe it or not murph, I've actually tried one. Been going to my dealer a lot lately getting my new machine and they had one out front so I took it for a test drive. Really nice machine and really nice ergonomics. Add the drive over deck, loader removable from the operator station, iMatch, big air ride seat, quick attach backhoe, lighting, foldable ROPS and the list goes on. They built the tractor as a luxury tractor. With that said, as mentioned it is $3k more than any competition, but it has it's own niche in the market.

To clear up a few things regarding Kioti and Bobcat, yes Daedong/Kioiti builds the Bobcat. As far as a price for the (CT220) tractor. ldr., mid-mower being 12,000, I don't think that is correct. Currently, w/ the Kioti free ldr. program, the CK 20 should be in the mid-13 to 14 range (for a hydro) depending on where you are. A mid-mower and mid-pto is going to add at least 2500 (on the low side).

Kioti has just introduced their sub-compact. It has a 60" mid-deck which is supposed to be offered for the entire CK series, but will require different mounting brackets. No time frame at this point.

If you do recall, I did say that Mahindra's Max was the best option on a budget and spec'ed out closer to a CUT than a SCUT...
