I find screwdrivers frusterating. When I need a phillips, all I can find are flat and vice-versa.

What's more, I can't toss a screwdriver even when it's munged up (technical term) or bent.

I think I shall make a special box for screwdrivers too dammaged to keep and put it on a shelf.

I have more than 90 screwdrivers including phillips, flat, torx and square-drive. At least that's how many I was able to collect today.

I have sons, so I have no trouble with tools accumulating. They gave me a sticker for the refrigerator that states, "He who has a full set of tools has no children."

The good part is that now they have their own sons; didn't seem to help my problem much though.

The first step is acknowledging you have a problem.. :)

 I bet there is a "groop" for it too!!:D

Looking at Cliffs photo ,I think I recognize some of those tools:D:laughing: I have probably lost or found more screw drivers than I have bought!

I have a bit of both.

When my father in law was alive, we would sit down about once a year and work up a pretty large order for Harbor Freight. He knew he had a bad case of CRS and knew they would disappear, actually had it all of his life as it was a constant source of amusement for his employees. He did a lot of service calls and someone was always dropping by his business and returning coats and tools he had left at their homes.

For several years after his passing, I would run across tools, coats etc. that he had left somewhere on the farms. One thing is for sure, he never worse a tool out in his life.:)

I sure do miss him, he was a really good friend.

Lets start here. It's not a 'Phillips'. It's a Reed & Prince actually....

What's more, I can't toss a screwdriver even when it's munged up (technical term) or bent.

Screwdrivers aren't supposed to be used as pry bars. Thats why pry bars are made and sold.... If you took the time to learn to correctly dress a flat blade, half your issues would be gone along with not using them for prying things.....

I think I shall make a special box for screwdrivers too dammaged to keep and put it on a shelf.

I have the same problem. The last few years I've bought a bunch of the ones that a have a reversible bit, one end straight and one end phillips, and then the shaft also reverses so you have another (different size) straight and phillips. As a bonus, it also servers as 3 nut-driver sizes where the bits and shaft pull apart.

I try to keep one of these anywhere I may need a screwdriver, but of course they don't stay, often several winding up in the same place. Also they won't work where you need a long thin blade, but they really do help me out.

When I was in college it was my adult drink of choice. Now I can't stand the taste of OJ.

Gosh, 5030, that seems a bit harsh. I've actually never used a screwdriver as a pry and I've never bent one. I've acquired them that way from other people.

I have good screwdrivers, I just have a lot of others too. This post was intended as humor. I do know how to properly use and take care of my tools.
