To me you seem like the perfect candidate for a Yukon EL or Expedition EL. Both will give you more room and the ability to pull upto 9,000#.
Do you really need a truck or would a large SUV do? Too bad Ford does not still make the Expedition, then you could have your diesel engine also.

I just took our 1994 dodge ram in for some work at the local dodge dealership (this trucks 2nd home)...and went to look at the new 1 ton diesel they had in the showroom. Nice enough looking rig...with a sticker price of $54,950.00.
ok...are you guys out of your minds. How could anyone seriously spend 54K on a truck.
For 90-100k i could buy a foreclosed 3br, 2-1/2 bath home in town and rent iot out at 1,000-1,200 / month. These prices on trucks have gotten way out of hand.
Actually they do offer a 3500 SRW again for 2012. It's a delete option and cuts $995 from the price.Diamondpilot said:Another issue for me is I believe they dropped the 3500 SRW and dont offer a GVWR high enough for me in a 2500 to do what I want.

I agree the SRW should have a higher GVWR than it's max 10,100 lbs but it gives you a payload of over 3,000lbs. More than that in a SRW is kind of a scary thought.
If he wants a half ton, any of the other three are a better choice. They have the same or more interior room, more power, newer styling, more towing/payload capacity, longer warranty (on RAM), similar pricing, etc...HHR said:If you want to save $20K and don't tow more than 9500 pounds, you may want to look at a crew cab Nissan Titan. Seems to have a very roomy back seat with easy access and is available in two bed lengths. My local dealer is selling them for around $30,000.
