Sorry you feel that way Mark.....my posts on your advertising forum were deleted by me...not by the site moderators. I publicly apologized for answering a question (from a poster) about specific brands of plasma that were not yours....then I deleted.

So here... I started a post to be informative....using no brand names, you choose to use it for advertising as well as for attempting to insult me! Kind of what you expect from a low dollar import type....I guess!

Kind of funny how you operate....but is of no concern to me. keep promoting your products....and selling your imported products. I don't sell.....however I'd be happy to direct any potential customers to their local distributors for high quality plasma cutting systems from major manufacturers with full factory support....not support from an importers warehouse.

Best regards, as always, Jim

Jim,
We sponsor this WHOLE forum...and have for a couple years now. Our logo is at the top of this page, along with our competitor, and ours is on the main forum page next to the forum. I try to keep my posting confined to our special in regards to putting our product out there, unless someone asks or looks into our product with a dedicated thread. I think a lot of our customers here know that.
I have the email from the forum guys that said they removed your post. Go figure. If you take it as an insult that I have pointed out that your information is out of date, and somewhat wrong, tells me you are awful defensive and thin skinned. Bully posting, Garnering free advertising, backtracking when called on it, and then insulting the sponsors of this forum in retaliation(even in your last post) is definitely something you'd NOT expect from a company that you work for, or of its employees.

As for answering a question, there was no question posed...only the name mentioned in passing. I don't have a problem with people posting on our threads, or our forum. We have a very well respect TD guy here, who definitely knows his stuff... and posts helpful and valuable information in ALL kinds of threads...Do you? And if you or HT were supporting this forum with$$$, then I'd say its a free for all... but trolling around these forums looking for a free chance to plug your product as you have done on multiple forums, and threads, supported by us is something you have done dozens of times, each time pleading ignorance or with excuse when called upon it.

You know your stuff, no doubt, and your advice is valuable as well, but your posts always are angled, even though you throw a disclaimer or two in there.

Jim,

You make some valid points. However, some of them lack accuracy. It is well know that some of the big brands including Thermadyne produce their machines in China. It is also a fact that there is a lot of US influence in Chinese manufacturing plants - now more than ever. To state that Chinese simply cannot make a quality product or put the right torch on a model is just silly because they are doing it for your main competitors and are successfully making it work.

As for the warranty, why not increase your warranty to 5-years that is the level of commitment we have on our models!

Not the only ones with a 5 year parts and labor warranty...not by a long shot. Everlast has one, along with some of the other name brands now, on some models.

Sorry mark, I was just going off what you guys advertised on the other forums. You did in fact switch from 5 years to 3 years as stated publicly, here is a snapshot and also the link to Alex/Oleg stating it himself so I was safe to assume - it was not a jab or anything.

Do you guys advertise 5 years for Tractor members and 3 years + 2 years optional for Welding Web members? Im confused.

We have postponed it indefinitely. A quick check of our site, will show our warranty in tact.

A quick check of their website also shows we can all become a dealer for Everlast as long as we can BS our way past a sales manager and pay cash up front!

In an ideal world I would have the best equipment made by Americans. I have no doubt that HT makes fine machines. However they are priced for the welding shops, not the hobbyists. I think both Longevity and Everlast are both filling in the void that HT and other bigger brands have chosen not to support.

As for consumables, when you are trying to choose between a OA torch or a plasma cutter consumables is not high on the list unless your plans include far more use than the guy who tinkers will ever do. For $100 I can buy enough consumables that will last me 10 years or more for my pp60. In 10 years plasma cutters could be light years beyond where they are now and I may want to upgrade.

I know that it will not happen but I would love to see a major brand make a economy line that could be competitive price wise.

At work I've got a hyper therm that runs off either the three phase or the single phase. Biggest hunk of junk ever. Been shipped back twice, worked well for a few cuts, then it was bad again. Just put of warranty this last time, and they won't fix it. The first two times it was diagnosed as the circuit board, and it has the same symptoms this time. Went to Harbor Freight to get one to get the project done, and it's still going strong. The HT was nice when it was working, and it was a lot better quality at a faster pace, but as for cheap foreign and big name, HT loses here.
The project that did it in was the first six inches of 3/8" steel, cutting the frog off a Cat 980 bucket. The HF did the other 9', and several other cuts and starts, so far without a hiccup.

Not exactly...I have been involved in dealer development for a long time, much longer than my time with Everlast with major companies....So, you shouldn't be surprised to see me show up on your door step if you are serious, as I have done many times. Financial commitment, business plan, financials and a lot more work goes into it than what you see on the surface, including a minimum, initial purchase, continuous inventory requirement, media, advertising etc.
