I already hit the lottery.

That being said, I gambled, and played 2 dollars on this latest jackpot.

My take is, if it was meant to be, it would be. Why not me?

I will hire an attorney, and get more anonymous than I am now. :)

I will also get another cab tractor, a new rifle, and finish another out building.
I will write a few checks to charity, that would be the second thing, after the attorney.

What are your numbers so we can root for you to win. :D

You miss the whole point. You aren't playing to win. Only an idiot really thinks he will win. However, it's not a waste of money. You are buying something of value. That something is HOPE. Isn't it worth a dollar to have hope for a couple days?

The person who only buys 2 tickets when the pot is over 1/2 Billion dollars will not go broke playing the lottery I expect.

Some times I eat fried chicken at a corner market and it is sad to watch people not self supporting scratching. They actually expect to win.

If you buy a ticket not expecting to win then it is for fun I would think. About 10 years ago some lottery pot got huge and a guy took like
$10K for the kids college funds and lost it all I read.

IMO, a dollar's worth of hope isn't worth much today, what with inflation and $4 per gallon gas. Every time I read something about the lottery hoopla it makes me remember a story I read in the newspaper several years ago that stated:

"40% of Americans count on the lottery, winning a sweepstakes, getting married, or an inheritance to fund their retirement...."

As for me, I have the utmost confidence that Social Security is going to be my meal ticket when I turn 62. No need for any risk at all.... I know I have a secure future without gambling a penny

I'm in it for $5.
It's worth that for the excitement.

At least you will not have to worry about being over weight with that meal ticket.

Hope comes in many forms, and I don't feel the need to waste my hard-earned money to get it. Besides, the best kind of hope is free.

As for that dollar, most people spend far more than a dollar on the lottery. If they saved those dollars, rather than wasting them, they might find that they had saved a lot of money over time.

There is a saying "be carefull what you wish for". Can't imagine life if I was worth $600 million that I didn't earn. (Or even of I did earn it if that is morally possible)
Who would I trust and where could I hide?:confused2:
