Grading Land Price GS1572 or GS2596 Grading Scraper?

K, wish they would have mentioned that when I ordered it. I paid $1,400 for it without them, so kind of frustrating.

Chris

Does it have slots where you can just buy the teeth themselves & pop 'em in?

If not, maybe you can return it/ swap it.

Yeah, it's got the slots...just need to the teeth. We're using our box blade teeth right now, but they don't barely go down far enough.

This is good, now all you need to do is get some shanks with teeth and you'll be good to go.

I was saying my Land Pride hard copy catalog doesn't, but that it may have changed since 2010.

However ... I need to amend again: I turned the page to the box blade/ grading scraper specifications charts page, & it says "Scarifier Shank Construction (optional)" for all 5 of their grading scraper models.

Probably a good chance that at first LP just included them, but then needed to raise the price and to do that, they made the rippers optional, but the actual purchase price didn't go down when the rippers became optional. Sort of how thing go these days, pay more for less. :(

Well, I'm glad that it wasn't $1332 for a set of teeth. I don't know why, but the first thing that came to mind was dentures. :confused2:

Has anyone looked at the Woods GS72 side by side with the Land pride GS1572? It looks like the Woods comes with the rippers, not optional and is slightly heavier. I did a search here and only found one thread but not much details.

Well, today we graded all our roads with the GS1572 and my box blade rippers, and it did fantastic. I'm glad I didn't get the larger one, but I do wish it was heavier, especially on our super hard packed gravel. But, compared to the box blade, this thing is a dream. We made the passenger side lower to take the humps out of the road, then leveled it back up and made a few more passes, it it made for a perfectly graded road. I use 4wd, because when it loads up, it would just spin the rear tires. Overall, very happy with the purchase other than not having the rippers. I might even weld some 1/2" plate on it for more weight. :)
