What does regen do. Can That valve be layed down flat. I mean will the spring center hold. I always liked the single stick.

The regen part of a loader valve means that if you select regen on the lever which is on the curl down or dump side, the fluid from the rod side of the curl cyl is sent to the base end along with the pump fluid and causes a fast dump.

You don't have to use regen, but it is there if you need it.

The valve can be mounted just about any way, sideways, vertical, horizontal , but you should mount it so it is logical in your lever movement. You know raise, lower, curl up, curl down/dump, etc
