Has been pretty wet out our way but finally getting a few days of dry weather and the temperatures are even above normal. It has been below normal the past 6 or so weeks. Our "local" ski mountain about 1 hours drive away has the 3rd highest snow pack in recorded history. :)
Glad to read on one of the posts that lake level are at or above normal in Texas.

Extremely dry here as well, with the lack of snow and no real rain we're well below normal for rain. Most of the rivers are at their summer low water levels, which is highly unusual. Strangely enough my lake hasn't changed in level at all (I suspect the beavers), but my land is bone dry. I put in a new lawn and its like a giant dust bowl and it hasn't even gotten warm out yet!

It's really dry out here. We have had a lot of brush fires and one major forest fire.

Dry here in central Virginia, near Richmond.

Dry again here in Central Texas. Last year over 80 days over 100, worst drought in history, water rationing all around.

This winter/spring so far we've had about 6 inches of EFFECTIVE RAIN....little drips and drabs don't count...got to be enough at one time to sink into soil. Drove over the place today....dry and dusty except for right around/below the newly filled tanks (bone dry for over a year until about a month ago). Drainage area of about 120 acres ...runoff from 2.5 inch rain in 4 hrs caught by 4 tanks in succession...Upper two tanks ran over, next tank at 85% capacity, lower tank at 30% capacity.

Lake Travis, major supply for Austin, is at 40.5 feet BELOW full level

Definitely more rain north in Waco/DFW area.

drought is not over for me, anticipate little to no effective rain until next spring.

Incredible as it may seem, we seem to be in a serious dry spell. In my neck of the woods in Northern VA.

I was dressing up my back pasture with the bush hog last night. I actually made a round trip through some areas of low ground that are normally mud bogs in the spring. I use to cut them in mid-summer or avoid them all together. Not yesterday.

Same here. Last May I got my JD mower stuck in the bog between the ponds. I walked in it two days ago and did not even leave footprints.

My ponds are still higher than last year though...

My driveway is VERY dusty and actually feels like it is getting softer...

Very odd April weather. and no rain in forecast for days...

Hmmm...

Actually perfect conditions here in Atoka County Oklahoma ... ground moisture is excellent, rainfalls have been timely ... every field has gotten the fetilize needed, new grass has been seeded.

My hay ground is ready to cut ... holding off because the forecast is 20-30% each day for the next 10 days. Just as soon as the window is there we'll get after it. All the ponds are full and the overflows are running. Reported Lake Texoma is something like 4-5 foot above average.

Plenty wet here in Oklahoma County; wheat looks good, what with the warm weather early, we're looking like "Green Country" here too. It's rained here off and on for a week and the forecast for the rest of the week is more of the same. Was at the "Boggy Bottom" car show summer before last, and man was it hot and dry then!
