Has been pretty wet out our way but finally getting a few days of dry weather and the temperatures are even above normal. It has been below normal the past 6 or so weeks. Our "local" ski mountain about 1 hours drive away has the 3rd highest snow pack in recorded history. :)
Glad to read on one of the posts that lake level are at or above normal in Texas.

Extremely dry here as well, with the lack of snow and no real rain we're well below normal for rain. Most of the rivers are at their summer low water levels, which is highly unusual. Strangely enough my lake hasn't changed in level at all (I suspect the beavers), but my land is bone dry. I put in a new lawn and its like a giant dust bowl and it hasn't even gotten warm out yet!

It's really dry out here. We have had a lot of brush fires and one major forest fire.

Dry here in central Virginia, near Richmond.

Dry again here in Central Texas. Last year over 80 days over 100, worst drought in history, water rationing all around.

This winter/spring so far we've had about 6 inches of EFFECTIVE RAIN....little drips and drabs don't count...got to be enough at one time to sink into soil. Drove over the place today....dry and dusty except for right around/below the newly filled tanks (bone dry for over a year until about a month ago). Drainage area of about 120 acres ...runoff from 2.5 inch rain in 4 hrs caught by 4 tanks in succession...Upper two tanks ran over, next tank at 85% capacity, lower tank at 30% capacity.

Lake Travis, major supply for Austin, is at 40.5 feet BELOW full level

Definitely more rain north in Waco/DFW area.

drought is not over for me, anticipate little to no effective rain until next spring.

Incredible as it may seem, we seem to be in a serious dry spell. In my neck of the woods in Northern VA.

I was dressing up my back pasture with the bush hog last night. I actually made a round trip through some areas of low ground that are normally mud bogs in the spring. I use to cut them in mid-summer or avoid them all together. Not yesterday.

Same here. Last May I got my JD mower stuck in the bog between the ponds. I walked in it two days ago and did not even leave footprints.

My ponds are still higher than last year though...

My driveway is VERY dusty and actually feels like it is getting softer...

Very odd April weather. and no rain in forecast for days...

Hmmm...

Actually perfect conditions here in Atoka County Oklahoma ... ground moisture is excellent, rainfalls have been timely ... every field has gotten the fetilize needed, new grass has been seeded.

My hay ground is ready to cut ... holding off because the forecast is 20-30% each day for the next 10 days. Just as soon as the window is there we'll get after it. All the ponds are full and the overflows are running. Reported Lake Texoma is something like 4-5 foot above average.

Plenty wet here in Oklahoma County; wheat looks good, what with the warm weather early, we're looking like "Green Country" here too. It's rained here off and on for a week and the forecast for the rest of the week is more of the same. Was at the "Boggy Bottom" car show summer before last, and man was it hot and dry then!

Boggy Bottom car show .... was probably there the same day !!! Its about 10 miles straight north of me.

The whole park is in a sad state of affairs right now ... state funding gone and I'm being told that the Choctaw Nation is trying to buy it ... don't know for sure about that.

On the weekend, the humidity here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland was 19%, I haven't seen numbers that low in April since I lived in Stockton, CA in the early seventies, and this ain't the San Joaquin Valley!:D

It's very dry. I have never seen it this bad in April. Took a walk through the hay fields yesterday and everything was actually dusty. In NH all the crops are a month early and we desperately need rain.

Not quite so bad here in the north country...it was such a rainy autumn that the ground is still pretty moist. Did set out the rain barrels early to catch what we can for the gardens just in case.

I don't think we ever had a Spring flood from the VT/NH/MA snow pack melting this year. If we did, it was piddling. Hope this means a reduced skeeter season!

What snow pack? Don't think we ever had more than 6" on the ground at any one time. Not even that much in the Whites.

The upside to this is that maybe the boggy area on my land will dry out enough so I can channel the (seasonal) stream that runs thru it.

Being "dry" is relative to where you live. If I ever went to New England, I'm guessing it would look like a tropical jungle with all the trees everywhere compared to where I live.

You can have some of ours; 10" of rain last month, 34" since October. We need to start drying out.

Yep. Sitting here looking out the window at the rain. Ten day forecast is for rain. The temperature is also below average and has been for months. The rivers are retreating from the flood stage they were in for several days
While the rest of the U.S. was setting heat records Eugene, Oregon Airport set a one day snowfall record.

The weather hasn't changed, it just moved somewhere else.
