I only have about 1400 hours on our oldest. We own John Deere, Massey Ferguson, Case and Ford. I have driven some pretty old Kubotas. Kubota engines have been used in a lot of different equipment over the years and has a good reputation. Our last new tractor was an M8540, so I trust them. If you are not comfortable with a Kubota though then you probably should buy something else.

Don't worry about the reliability, you'll get several thousand hours of good use out of it. You'll find very few compact tractors with over 5,000hrs on them mainly because of how they are used. Most users only put 100hrs a year on them and that would be a lifetime of use at that rate. I use my B3200 commercially and put about 200hrs a year on it and have had very few problems.

With that said, asking a compact tractor to go over 10,000hrs without work is asking a bit much. One of the reasons the big ag tractors run so long is 1) they turn less RPMs, 2) they are built very heavily, 3) large oil capacity, and 4) they are generally not turned up to the max power for a given engine size. Regardless, Kubotas are probably some of the best out there for reliability and longevity.

That's a good price.

I also much prefer gear drive over hydro. I bought a L3800DT, gear drive, w/fel a few months ago and absolutely love it!

Your English is a bit hard to understand, but on the hours, you can't (can) put many more hours than 3-4k on a Kubota, just got to take care of them. :thumbsup:

bluegill wat do u mean 3-4k hrs on a kubota r they that crappy made the case had a mitsubusui in it 11k never changed the oil just added i guess i wont be getting the kubota

Wow, I screwed that post up! I meant to say;

"You can put many more hours than 3-4k on a Kubota"

Ya can not go wrong with a Kubota!

I'll edit the post to read right. Sorry.

Our old Kubota is around 3000 hours I believe, it is an 84 model and runs great. Never a problem with the engine or trans.

I had and old L245, 79 model that had more hours and it was bullet proof. If I remember right the hour meter broke at around 5000. Still ran perfect after many more years.

I've been running Kubotas since 1985 will continue to do so. :thumbsup:

There are some threads on here about filling your tires and several have done their own.

I have used calcium chloride, but over time had to replace the rims. Some people have had decent service with calcium chloride using tubes.

You might want to contact a local ag tire service and see if you can get WWF or something like that put in.
