How do you like your kubota?

/ How do you like your kubota? #21
I've bought several Kubotas (13) and currently own 5 of them. Guess I'd be on the "LIKE EM" list. Are they perfect and will they do everything? No. Did I expect them to be perfect? No more than I've expected the over 140 cars/trucks I've bought to be perfect.
Did my L3240HST (I bought my first and last geared tractor last year, never again will I go geared, HST only for me) have better traction than my B7800 and B3200, yes, at twice the weight with the same HP, it did.
The BXs wouldn't/won't lift as much weight or capacity as the bigger tractors, was I disappointed? No, I expected as much to happen. Have I traded so often because the tractor I had wouldn't do some of the jobs I wanted done? Yes, but was I disappointed that a BX wouldn't do the same jobs as an L? No. Do I think I have received good value for the price I paid for the Kubotas I've bouight? Yes, obviously I do.
I've found out over the last nine years that buying a tractor is like buying a car. After time it needs to be traded for a different one. I bought 2 Kubotas that I traded quickly. The BX2350 jerked so bad (to me) stopping in reverse and I knew it wasn't right because of previously owned Kubotas and I didn't want to live with it so traded it to a BX2660 that stopped the way Kubotas are supposed to. I bought a L3240HST Grand that scared me on my hillside property because I was sitting so high off the ground that I traded it to a B3200 after just a few short months. Sometimes it's just best to trade a machine that "bothers" you and try another and see if it's "perfect".
I like my Kubotas for what they are and for the price I paid for them........today.:D PS But I do have a F2680E for sale so I can buy #14 Kubota from Barlows.

Extreemly satisfied. Our L3240 has been a real work horse and very reliable. I expect it will last longer than either of us will. The B5100 was bought used and still has lots of life in it. Never ceases to amaze me what we can pull with that 2 banger 12hp machine.

I've got 300 hours on my BX25 and I love it. Overall, it does more than I expected it to. The addition of a tooth bar, bucket forks, filled tires, and skid plates have really allowed me to tackle a wide variety of tasks that would previously have required renting a variety of specialized machines. Granted there are times when I wish the loader could lift a little more, or the backhoe could reach a little further, but when I sit back and remind myself that this is a 1 ton machine, I'm always impressed. A backhoe was one of my requirements and I felt Kubota had the best sub compact backhoe set up hands down. Were a backhoe not required, I might have gone green. My only complaints are with the poor seat ergonomics, the right foot brake pedal, and that the grill guard does not have a hinge mechanism by which it can be easily dropped. My father's NH33D has a hinged grill guard which can be lowered after removing two pins, whereas, my BX requires tools to remove four bolts in order to drop the grill guard. Minor stuff compared to the overall tractor performance and quality.

When hooking to the drawbar the amount of weight needed on the front vs three point changes. I'd have the rear a bit heavier by at least one set of weights and actually less weight on the front.
In our area on a 13-14' cultimulcher we normally see tractors with duals and at least 100 horsepower if two wheel drive and full size (larger tire) ninety horse four wheel drives because of the hills on hard soil areas. On soft or muck type soils you have to add twenty horsepower!

Normally i pull the cultimulcher with my tn65. On dry ground I can pull it in 2wd but i keep it in 4 just to improve traction and efficiency.

Those small tires are the larger part of the problem.

I bought a new 2620 just wish the float would work better makes it almost useless for snow removing on unpaved road dealer mentioned that to me said works good in reverse think I need to make skids for the bucket to keep it from digging in . and its gets stuck easy even with the blower adding weight on the back

I agree, but their roughly the same size that were on the tn-f. I have to believe its a weight issue mainly. I have the 380's on the rear which is a decent size footprint for this size tractor. The fronts like to dig straight down though and that is a product of them being small.

I cant remember, do you sell kubotas?

I'm on my second Kubota, and don't think I could be any happier. I really liked my first Kubota (B2400). I felt it had plenty of power for it's size. Never did a darned thing to it other than routine maintenance. But, our winters here in NH had me wanting a cab. I ended up buying a B3030HSDC and never looked back. Plenty of power, heat in the winter, A/C in the summer, tunes all year ............ what more could a guy want ? I will say I hated the original seat....it was one of the seats Kubota was offering to replace at cost years ago. Really the only fault I can blame Kubota for. I replaced it with a good aftermarket seat and all is well now. I would highly recommend a B3030 to anyone.

Thats a common theme with kubota, using junk seats. I dont really understand their reasoning behind it. I would think that would be an area they spent their money on since everything you do with a tractor requires you to sit in a seat.

Japanese bums must fit seats differently. :D
