How do you like your kubota?

Thats a common theme with kubota, using junk seats. I dont really understand their reasoning behind it. I would think that would be an area they spent their money on since everything you do with a tractor requires you to sit in a seat.

Well when we were looking we also looked at the JD 4_20 series, don't remember which model, the seat was worse than the Kubota the seat back didn't adjust at all and no option for it I was told.

My Kubota BX23 has exceeded all my expectations... not a single warranty issue or any issue for that matter.

I did install the upgrade seat which I thought was a nice gesture because there was nothing wrong with the original seat... the upgraded one is more comfortable and something Kubota Corp. didn't have to do.

Well when we were looking we also looked at the JD 4_20 series, don't remember which model, the seat was worse than the Kubota the seat back didn't adjust at all and no option for it I was told.

The seat on my TN65 is good, the 1920 is adequate, the Farmall 45A is great and then there is the Kubota which I am going to replace because its so bad. I had my local dealer trying to find out if there was an easy option to update to an air suspension seat but so far I have not heard back from them. If I don't like what they find I am going the route 4Shorts did and will cut the pan the seat frame mounts to and level it out so I can install the same grammer air seat setup he did.

I just can't understand why any company would put a crappy seat on a tractor, especially a tractor you know is going to be used for long hours a day. I can see them cutting a corner or two on a compact as they figure if the owner uses it a couple hours a day or every few days they won't mind the seat but on a dedicated farm tractor or even a tractor that is borderline farm use then they should definitely put a good seat on it. Adjustable back would make things a little better, at least then you can adjust the seat to make it a little more comfortable for long hours.

I did send an email to Kubota asking why they don't offer an air ride seat or at least a better seat for the Narrow cab tractors shortly after I took delivery of mine and I never heard back from them. I can only assume my email went into the trash bin since they already had my money

Every cab tractor I have been in since the 80's that had a factory cab had a good, cloth seat. I had never seen a vinyl seat in a factory cab tractor until I took delivery of my Kubota. I know some people may think I am just too picky but I put a lot of hours on my tractors every year and added two new ones this year since my farm has quadrupled in size this year. I put 40 hours on the Kubota just doing some of the spring vineyard work, the Farmall has 20 now just from putting posts in and a few other items. The 1920 is finally getting a break as its only had about 10 hours put on it so far but now I can leave the weed spraying rig attached (front and rear booms) so that I don't have to spend an hour hooking it up and another hour unhooking it every time I need to spray the weeds in the vineyard. The TN has over 100 so far this year just doing tillage work. And my work season for this year started around March and is only going to get worse. The TN has been getting around 400 hours a year between tillage, planting and haying so now it will get a little break as I hope to be able to use the Kubota either on the disbine or the baler so that I don't need to hook and unhook as often. I spend a lot of time in the seat of a tractor and will be spending even more this year. So the little things like a good, comfortable seat and a cup holder are important to me. Cup holders are easy to add after the fact (although the Farmall came with one standard (again, 1/3 the price)). The seats are a more expensive option to upgrade and then your stuck with a seat you can't do anything with after you remove it. Oh well, its only money :confused2:

On our third Kubota and have no complaints other than we hate the parking brake actuation (Seems to disengage sometimes). 11,000 hrs on the B6100 before trading in in on a 7510, coming up to 2,000 hrs on the 7510 and about 400 hrs on the L3400. Have not spent a nickel on anything but oil and filters on the 3400, had to put a draglink and pitman arm on the 7510 and one clutch and a set of brakes on the 6100. We haul all size of boats at our marina with these units and blow lots of snow in the winter. Box blade the drive and do what ever we can with the FEL's on the 7510 and 3400 as required and would buy another tomorrow. :D

My first Kubota, a B3200. I am impressed with the tractor and the tiller. I have having difficuty with the FEL as I just cannot get used to the level guide on the bucket and would prefer a rod in tube. It is a little hard to start in colder weather but from reading here I am going to have the injector timing checked. Those are just minor issues and nothing compared to the issues I had with a previous brand that wasnt Kubota. I love the tractor and the room in the operators platform. All in all I would give it a 9.95 out of 10.

I'm on my second Kubota. The quality and reliability has been outstanding. Nothing to contact the dealer about. Could have bought long distance and it wouldn't have made any difference. Everything "just works", to steal a phrase.

There was something about my first Kubota, the BX1860 that just made it lovable, hard to explain. It was better in the snow than my current B2320. The B2320 is civilized and mannered and I've found nothing that it cannot do, around our place, yet it doesn't draw a bond from me the way the BX did. Hard to explain. For one thing, it is simply too light for the energy it has. (I cannot imagine the 26 or 29 models). The tires spin far too easily but I've yet to get any weight added and that's my own fault. I also REALLY need to get the 30 series, lower 3 pt arms that extend, as the stock ones are horrid.

Given the amount of time I spend in the dirt, I also wish I had gotten Ags for extra traction. These R4's sure are tough as nails, but traction isn't a strong point. The light weight and R4s aren't a good match. The tractor would simply be a better worker with R1 tires. Period.

I'm pretty color blind when it comes to machinery, but I'd probably be really nervous about matching the quality and reliability with someone else. When my tractor has gotta go, it's gotta go and the Kubota always does.
:laughing::laughing: So strange. I've been thinking I'd rather have R4s on my B2320. I drive across driveways to get to the garden and these Ag tires let you feel each piece of tread and I'm doing this flopping belly thing. Maybe we need to trade. You may need to schedule an extra day or half day on your next Casey County trip and come look and try mine. I believe you'll be satisfied with yours if you add weight to the front. I've made my 2 weights and now only use my pretty:laughing: blue one which makes a world of difference. Yours should also do better with the HST than my geared one. Maybe we just need to trade tractors since I want HST and you use yours alot more for gardening than I do. :thumbsup:I think I've got 15? hours on mine. I'll also throw in a set of quick hitchs with mine. If we don't trade and you get the easy extend arms, see if you can save money by buying 2 sets. They are one of the biggest things I miss about the L3240HST Grand I previously owned.

Pretty good so far, haven't done any field work with my m7040 yet. Moves bales, manure and hay just fine. Mine came with a fabric seat (which reminds me it needs vacuuming as it has a winter's worth of hay and straw stuck to it...) so I don't know if that's an upgrade or if that's what they all come with nowadays.

Maybe in Canada they just automatically upgrade everything, since we pay more for our tractors! Or manybe it's the narrow version only? I think the vinyl would be colder in the winter-I would put a sheepskin on it, if I had a vinyl seat-still wouldn't help with the lack of back support, though.

Love it. I have a MX5100, HST, 4WD, LA 844 Loader QA, R4's, and a lot of implements. It is my 2nd Kubota and I loved the 1st one too. Great value tractor with excellent dealer support. I don't anticipate buying another one as most likely this will be my last small tractor. There are other excellent tractors out there, but I am a Kubota orange fan. I didn't even look for another brand this time.

Glad to hear they put a decent seat in your tractor. Was it an option or standard?

The seats in the regular M Series, at least the cabs are comfortable. I originally wanted an air suspension, but couldn't wait the 6 weeks for delivery and having used the regular seat for going on three years won't get one.
