New 5075M is at the dealer's!

It was all part of the option package with the loader hydraulics. I could go back and look at the order form - but, I didn't have to buy anything "separate".

I wanted the 3rd SCV function and the single point quick connect at the loader mount as well as the bucket end for my grapple. What I did have to buy separate was the flat-face SS quick disconnects and plumb then into the single point connector. Something like $200 for those.

Excellent news! I forwarded that information to my dealer. Hopefully he will be able to confirm that with the factory.

Alright! It'd be a very good thing to have some "clarity" to the question of how the hydraulic options are configured - and priced!!!!

Stopped today and picked up my Frontier grapple. This thing is a monster!

My sales guy had not yet heard back from the factory on the QC on the boom. I'll be sure to provide an update once he does.

Are those 2 little things holding the grapple together zip ties? No tractor yet for me :( . Time to wait more.

Those are steel bands. Sucks about your tractor. Are they still saying this week?

Hi All,

Sorry I haven't been an active member lately, I have been very busy with some work.

I am getting close to finally getting my 5085M home for keeps.

If anyone remembers, the last time I posted the dealer had just installed the H260 loader, and I discovered that it had the multicoupler rather than the Single-Point connection. Now, finally, the Single-Point that I had originally requested will be installed later this week.

From the last posts it seemed like there may be a couple of ways to position the Single-Point connector, if that is true, could you tell me what you like or don't like about the way yours is mounted.

Thank you very much,

Island Farmer

I have a couple of more questions I would like to ask:

First:

Here is a picture of my tractor, and another from a JD brochure. It seems to me that my grill guard is larger and doesn't seem to fit the tractor as well as the one on AKfish's machine. Maybe pclausen knows if John Deere has changed to this style with the H260, or if the one I have is not standard. I kind of like the look of the one with the expanded metal in it. Actually, the best looking one that I have seen is on Caledon Hills tractor. I wonder where he got his?

Thanks,

Island Farmer

Here are some pictures of my hydraulic top link. I don't have any experience with these. What do you think?

Thanks,

I don't think there is a choice in the Multicoupler mounting (unless you are building your own bracket) I mounted mine with the handle out because that's how Deere did it on the 640 loaders. I like the way shown in post 251 with the handle forward. It sticks out less and being right handed it looks like the swing of the lever would be easier for both couple and uncouple. IIRC I'll gain almost 3 1/2" clearance if I turn mine 90 degrees (lever forward)

I even took the handle off and straightened it to gain clearance. (see the bends in first picture)

I actually like the guard in the first picture the best, it's taller and will protest the hood better. You should see the second pictured guard without the mesh brush guard installed. Do you have a picture of Caledon Hills guard?

JD offered a HD guard for the 673 loader that I liked better than the one that came on my 6415. They offer the mesh guard for it too (on my wish list). So I bought the guard and swapped. Weighs about 50lbs more than the original one.
It has larger side plates. A 2" x2" crossbar, the folding part is larger (taller), and the latch has been moved from the right side to the left (same side as the hood latch).
