At 1:30 AM this morning, I woke to rain on my roof. It lasted a little while and my gage says we got 2/10". It ain't enough, but it sure is better than nuthin'. The dust is settled and we will maybe get a bit more this afternoon. I've got my fingers crossed, my legs crossed, and my eyes crossed for good luck.;)

Carefull ... get to crossed up and you may stay shaped like a pretzel !!!! An inch and 3/10ths in my gauge this morning. I didn't hear a thing, woke to rain and its still light rain. The irrigation can take a break.

And my rain gauge is still bone dry.:confused3: I walked outside a few minutes ago and actually felt 2 or 3 drops, even saw a half dozen drops hit the driveway. So I'm still hoping.

Quarter inch for me last night and we're expecting more tonight.

I've been working on my ditches so that they are more tapered and natural looking. Funny how I can dig a ditch half a foot deep with the backhoe to get the water to go where I want it, but I end up moving a hundred yards of dirt when I get the dozer to angle the edges back so its easy to mow and looks nicer.

I was able to finish and get 3 pounds of hulled bermuda seed out just before dark. An hour later, it started to sprinkle!!!!

1" in NW Lee County. I can stop watering for a week. My first attempt at growing peanuts in the garden is looking good!

Let me know when the peanuts are ready to harvest. I might come steal them.

They still have 110 days to go before harvest. This is a test garden to see if what will destroy them first.:D

3/4 of an inch last night!! So that's 2 inches in 2 days.......just the way we like it, except for the hail Mon night. But the hail didn't seem to do much damage to the garden so I feel much better.

Here's hoping that everyone that needs it gets a good soaking tonight.
