That's what it was. That's why I was thinking it way have been build wrong from the start!

Take the hook off it and throw it away. Replace it with the "fork" adapter HF sells. It will work with all QH's.

First I have seen them. Looks like they are based on the Pat's idea.....but do not look as easy or convenient due to the "keeper pin" arangement. I can see where you may be cussing that set-up.

As my wife would tell me: "Why not buy the orignal.....your worth it!"

Oh I was just looking around and found them is all. It looks like the Pats through Agri Supply are the best buy and they come with the bar from what the site states.

I have never heard of Agri Supply I don't think we have one in Pa.

With the telescoping stabilizers as found on my JD 3320 I find I do not need the spreader bar as I did on my old tractor. The telescoping stabilizers pretty well perform this function for me.

When I first put the PEC on my old 790....they did not mate up too well with an old Dearborn plow I owned. The plow had some very short hitch pins and part of the plow interfered with the main pins on the PEC (only time I saw that to be the case).

Anyway......Rather than remove the PEC......I forced the plow onto the pins and decided to try it that way. When plowing.....this put some huge pressure on the PEC big pins connection (the one with the hole in it) and I broke the Pats pin at the hole.

Called Pat's. They sent me a new pin at no charge and no further questions asked. The gal answering the phone said I was the only one to ever mangage to break that pin. :D

My point is.....Pat's are a proven product.....and they stand behind their product.

It gets easier. the longer you do it.

when I first got my 10' mower for my ford 5000.. it took me 10 miutes to hitch it.

now takes me about 45 seconds. which is about 15 longer than for a 5' implement.. and thats just because I got longer to walk around it. :)

your other possibilities are to simply buy a tractor for each implement and leav them all hooked up.

way more convienient that way! i like to do it that way...

here's about half of them...

Ok, did my first change out today of attachments (Box Blade to 3 Pt Receiver Hitch). Just a quick briefing I am new to SCUT'S and 3point attachments! Ok is it really as much as a pain as I just experienced? I figured you pull the pins drive off attach the next. Seems like you have to twist turn and maneuver your attachment to get weight off of the pins. Am I missing any tricks? Should I be running out for this iMatch system? Doing all kinds of stuff around the house. I want to be able to be box scraping, be done with that, throw the 3 point receiver hitch on to trailer stuff around the property, quickly switch over to a heavy ballast to start moving boulders.

Just not looking to break down a schedule on when I am doing what because that attachments aren't as easy to get off as I thought. And I could see myself saying "Man I'm not dealing with switching out attachments, I'll do that next week."

Rather you go with Pat's or a QH, you're going to see the lower link attach move aft about 4"
Agri-Supply has a PTO extender (but they call it an "adapter") that costs about 20 bucks. I've got one...pretty good item, actually.

I prefer the Patriots too; but then I am from New England.
