I measured all my 3pt implements and they came out as follows:

implementwidths.JPG

The cat2 quick hitch inside lower width is 32 3/4" and the mast height is 15".

So it looks like I would need to extend the pins on the mover, rake and spreader, and lower the top link on the plow and spreader.

Hmm, maybe Pat's a better solution?

They finally started on the loader today but it won't be ready until tomorrow at the earliest.

I had a Pat's system for a while. I didn't like it. I found it much easier to use the extendable links instead. The Pat's brackets went to the scrap yard and I don't regret it.
On the smaller tractors I am using a quick hitch bit even then it's not perfect.

I hooked up my tiller last night and it took just a few minutes with the extendable links. I found that setting the distance between hooks ended up being a PITA anyway. With the quick hitch if the equipment is tilted it won't work. I often use my hydraulic top link and that makes a world of difference as well.

I want a quick hitch as well, but I don't see any as a great choice. One of the things I'd be taking off most is my box blade, with the 1/2" steel and having to move it down about 5" (can't remember exact measurement) would put the TL right in the way of the hydraulic cylinder that raises and lowers the rippers and be in the way of the side beams making me have to make some sort of extension about 6" so it would clear everything. I don't see wanting to put my BB out 6" further on top of another couple the iMatch adds for the convenience of not getting off the seat. Though for the $200 Pat's EC is, I don't see spending the money there either. I'm sure PEC would be better than nothing, but the price is killing me. I'll wait for something better to come along.

Appreciate the feedback. Yeah, if I have to get off anyway to do the top link, I don't suppose Pat's gains me that much over the extendable links. My 4700 had solid links and it could be a huge pain to hook up implements.

I'll probably stick with the extendable links for now and see how that works out. I will have a hydraulic top link, and with the fender mounted hitch switches, once I connect the lower links, I hope to be able to raise the implement to where the top link pin will slide in. I just have to get in the habit of extending the top link from the operator seat each time I want to change implements.

Stopped by to check on the progress of the dealer installing my loader. They got it mostly done, but had quite a bit of cosmetic work to do. The front of the boom was heavily scratched from the tractor brackets that were jammed up against it on the pallet. One side with the frame (where the H260 logo is) was also scratched up pretty good. But everything has been mounted other wise and looks good.

Loader *did* include the single point hydraulic connection on the boom and also the remote piece that goes with the implement side hoses. I took that piece home and realized I need an adapter to go from the hose (#6 female JIC I think) to whatever those flat o-ringed male connectors are on the single point.

Hopefully everything will get sorted out tomorrow and I'll finally have my fully functional tractor home!

Glad to see the implement half of the coupler was included. If the O.D. of the fitting is 11/16" it's #6 ORFS, if 13?16" its #8 ORFS. I'm guessing #6. Dicount Hdraulic Hose has the adapters; female swivel ORFS to male JIC. They come same size on each end. such as 6-6 or 8-8. Part number F@6504-06-06 $2.64, FS6504-08-08 $3.18. If they are not the same size number (coupler and hose fitting) you will have to adapt on end or the other.

Too bad about the cosmetics. At least they will be fixed.

Here is another picture of the grapple brackets on the global 85" bucket:

Thanks Zebra! Hopefully the dealer will throw in the needed adapters. I measured the I.D.s and the ORFS is 3/8" and the JIC one is 5/16", which seems a bit odd. The hoses on the grapple are 1/4".

Thanks. Those extra brackets look like they could be useful to various pulling/chain connection points. I have asked the dealer to pull one for me to look at next to the 73 incher.

Haven't been keeping up very much here... must be summer!

Bummer with the loader! Those first scratches and dings are always hard to take..

Extendable draft links and the hyd top link with the remote EH 3pt are certainly more "user friendly" than any of the QH options. JD, Pat's, etc. etc. Especially if you've got a whole shed full of implements!! :D

If I had more hardware to hang on the 3pt - I'd probably sell my Cat II hitch. Since I only work with baler, rake, tedder, MoCo for 2-3 months out of 12.... the quick hitch stays on the tractor for most of the year on the rear blade.

Stopped by the dealer to check on the progress. Apparently they were missing a "special" bolt with a built in washer, so they had to order that overnight. Should be here tomorrow. Replacement stickers did not come in either today.

Showed the parts counter the single point connector and after digging through the hydraulic part bins, which would have required 2 adapters to make it work, we decided that the cleanest look/function would be for me to bring in my grapple hoses, and they will cut off the #6 JICs and crimp female ORFS fittings onto them.

They also had a open station MY2012 5085M that had just been dynoed. It made 76hp, so I should be very happy that mine made 85hp on that same dyno! I think think there might have been some sort of operator error.

Turns out the only 85" global carrier buckets he has in stock are the SD ones without the grapple brackets. But he has a H340 loader on a pallet with the HD one. Trying to talk the dealer into letting me have that one. :D

AK, yeah, I think I'll be happy with the EH hitch controls and extendable links.

Kind of hard to measure a female thread for athe male OD. So 5/16" might be the root size. Easiest to find a fitting that threads in then remove and measure it.

I did see the dealer suggested crimping the correct fittings to your hoses. That would be the best, less fittings. Everything is going ORFS anyway.

If you don't mind shipping, I've seen new JD HD global buckets as low as $650. Seems to be NOS dealer wants to clear.

I was finally able to pick my 5085M back up with the H260 loader installed. He swapped out for a 85" HD bucket as well. Turns out the one one he had in stock without the grapple brackets (BW15546) WAS the HD one.

Still on the trailer

They are having some kind of customer appreciation bbq next Thursday where they are bringing in a bunch of Kubota tractors for customers to play around with. So we haven't done the paperwork yet as each customer will get a $500 voucher towards the purchase of a Deere. :D

Thanks Murphy!

I was able to put on the grapple in between showers, then it started pouring down. Was able to snag a few shots.

I thought those hoses looked really long. I should have had them cut off more before putting on the new connectors....

I personally saw 2 5085Ms today open station, boy were they nice utility tractors. Drove me both around and they were extremely comfortable. They still had the original "window" sticker on it, price was torn out but they had 500 and 700 hours on them standard duty 3 point went for 17k guy bought both it was at an auction.

972 lbs according to Owner's manual.

I hope to try it out this weekend along with my stump grinder unless it is too wet.
