This will be my next place for a deer blind...
Nice blind!!! I see you are from western NY, not too far from me in Oneonta. From the pics it looks like there are no ceiling/roof rafters holding up the metal roofing?? Looks like it is attached to the top plate on the walls only. I am sure you get quite a bit of snow where you are located. You might want to slip in a few rafters to hold up the metal roofing while it is under a snow load. Unless that metal roofing is super thick. You and youre family will have many years of memories hunting out of that blind.
Here is the metal 2.5" steel I beam I ran down the length of the roof in the middle of the 8' Span. I had some 2.25 galvinized box tubing and the the beam fit in perfectly tight diaagonally. I welded plates on the end and screwed the brackets in to the top plate..........Should be good to go. I'll be pouring cement around the posts next time up there..................I
