Stick welding--Use two hands and relax so you can see the puddle edges for good tie-in after adjusting current, arc gap, electrode motion and speed for best result .

Sunscreen on NECK since flash hits it from various angles.

Welding jacket and gloves over everything else. If it gets hot, drink more water and electrolytes.

Let me see....
1- Make SURE you have it where you want it before ....
2- Those old fray'd blue jeans light fairly easy ....
3- Laying on a piece of cardboard on your back with a T-shirt on and welding on a chipper....

I'm sure I've screwed up other ways in the past but too senile to remember....
