I use iPhone app exclusively. Under current threads, I see the thread title in bold and then just below there used to be the first two or three lines of text from the original post. Since changeover,I now have the thread title in bold and two or three lines from the most recent post.

Hence, when scrolling thru, I'm seeing a series of "welcome aboard" replies instead of "I'm Don from Deluth with a Ford" original posts. It's like seeing the answer without seeing the question...

Same here, I prefer the old way. The title of the topic isn't always descriptive but that sentence or two let's me know if I want to read the thread.

On the rightmost Member identity panel, there is overwriting on the location and number of posts fields. One of them is in a duplicate location and the rest are off by one field.

A lot of the smiley faces do not work. The new ones that you have chosen are not clear to look at. I miss the old blue wink smiley.

They will be back soon.

I was going to mention this again. I mentioned it last week, it was fixed adn this mourn i noticed that the join date and posts or something are overtop of each other. I did notice that the right column did not match up to the left column but did not say anything so good advice on lining it all up.

Also IS THERE suppose to be an icon next to threads that you have posted in? Other threads i have not posted in have either red or blue or grey icons or something, but ones i have posted in have nothing in that farthest most left column? Its this way on my office pc and my home pc. At office we have IE7 and home i think its IE9??

And back on the quick nav drop down menu in a thread at the bottom of the page. Back at work and its hidden under the tread text and the link box again. At home this weekend it appeared perfect?

Had to log back in a few minutes ago. I always keep the box checked to "keep me signed in", but for some reason I was logged out. That in itself is not a big deal, but that pop up asking you to sign in could give you 30 seconds. Kind of annoying to get cut off in the middle of logging in, just to be asked to log in.

OK, I feel better now:D

Any type of upgrade (on the forum) can obsolete the TBN cookie. Since we know the team is correcting issues, don't be surprised if this happens again.

HEY, I'm no longer able to view "My Home" from my Android tablet. I do not want to be forced into the TBN app. I have plenty of screen space on my tablet and have always viewed TBN through Firefox or Opera.

I know it's a small issue but still an issue. I mainly use the iPhone app. The participated is still only showing the threads I started. I guess I could subscribe to all I've participated? I wasn't paying attention when I mentioned this earlier. I said it was some old and some new threads not realizing it was all threads I started. Thanks

I bet Muhammad will think long and hard before he upgrades this site next time, for all the sleepless nights he has had in the last week or so

May I offer two suggestions please?

1) Loose the "asset manager" for uploading files, it is harder to use IMHO. If you turn it off then it's very simular to the old SW version.

admincp > Settings > options > Message attachment options.
Scroll down to "Asset Manager - Enable" select "No" from the dropdown list.

2) For viewing pictures, can we use the newer VB4 viewer that pops open a window and lets you view all the attached photos to that post? Sorry, I cannot remember where or what this is called.

This way we can view all the pictures in one popup.

Well as a computer systems consultant I bet he will still upgrade....

One thing that was said here was that the upgrade was major... That likely contributed to feature changes and major config parity...
I have upgraded systems from version 5 to version 8 on a few occasions and the. I have to spend lots of time to correct things that no longer work "right" but often those things are items that were tweaked based on how version 5 worked... Subtle changes in version 6, 7 and 8 added up and the functionality was totally different...
Had the upgrades been done more frequently, at least for my customers, the issues would have been practically non existent!

I would venture to say the same happened here.....

The favicon took a couple of days to update for me. It's strange. But it's definitely there.
Favicon (Firefox Taskbar Icon) is now properly the Yellow Tractor. This is on a new desktop PC that I just now put in use. (Intel I-7 3rd generation, Win 7, Firefox 13.0.1). I still don't understand why the blue V logo persisted on the old desktop PC regardless of purging cookies, Refresh, etc but that computer is no longer used so the issue is gone.

Thanks for all the work you are putting into this, Muhammad.

Minor issue: I see the time allowed to edit a post without getting that 'edited by' footer is now less than 20 minutes. I make too many typos that I don't see for a while - could that time be moved back to at least 30 minutes?

If this is done, PLEASE make it optional. I have to use one of those on several other forums I frequent and it bugs me to not be able to middle click on each picture and have them load in their own tabs. Its fine for IE6 and other non-tabbed browsers, but I have tabs for a reason and I like to use them.

That viewer is used on a couple of other sites I visit and it doesn't start reliably on any of them. If this change is considered, I suggest work the bugs out of it before making it the default here. For now, I prefer new tabs for the photos.

it's all part an parcel.

I remember back inthe late 80's and 90's when i ran a BBS pre internet.. it was usually a all day and night marathon getting the suystem back up with minimal function, and then pieceing it together over the next week.

looks like not much has changed on that process over the decades..:)
