Tractor Supply Boom Pole

I just bought a TSC boom pole last week. Haven't used it yet.
But it looks solid enough. My old 8N won't be abusing it,
so I think it should hold up just fine.

I have one and it's been well worth the money. For a tractor without a loader it's almost a requirement.

They list the capacity as 500 lbs but the first thing I ever did with mine was lift a 700 lb tiller out of a trailer.

You would think that for $129 then could build it much better? $15 for the pins, $75 for the steel, $10 for the paint. There is all kinds of money left over for engineering, delivery, TSC costs, warranty issues, liability issues. And I guess the guy that welded it together needs $1.25 too. I'm thinking I could make a good side business making and selling them, it might even do better than farming.

I bought one Thursday, (the cheapie, $129.00) and got it home and hooked it up. Very, Very poor welding on it. Plus, the holes for the top attachment were catty wampus!! Just looked like it was spray painted on the top. Bottom was barely painted!!! I will attach some pictures when I go out later.

To clarify why and how I bought it, I needed it, I saw the boom poles outside of Tractor Supply Company stacked together, one on top of the other,(spooned together). I went inside and bought one, two guys came out, unlocked the stacked boom poles, got the top one and loaded it into the back of my truck. I got home, took it out and as I was hooking it up I noticed how really cheap and shoddy the welding work was. Also how crummy the paint job was. I then decided to post on here. I wasn't expecting a King Kutter, but I also was not expecting something this County Line to be this bad. I had read all the reviews, as I usually do before purchasing something, as I am sure a lot of you do. So.............Thar she is. What say you now?

You better check metal prices before you state that there is $75.oo worth of metal in a Countyline Boom Pole.

It is worth the money i paid for it even though it is (was) mis-alligned. It is equal to the Shi* that Harbor Freight sells. I don't get stuff from Harbor Freight, usually. Unless I need it. It is still Junk. But sometime we buy junk that we need.

I have a TSC boom pole, and it has worked out very well for me, and I know that I have pushed it well above 500lbs, probably closer to 1k. Most of the Country Line implements that they sell at the TSC near me are made by King Kutter, but I know sometimes that can be a regional thing with TSC, and they use different manufactures sometimes depending on where you are located. I did buy the Valspar Implement Yellow paint, for touch ups, and it works perfect, no difference in the color.

I bought one of these poles at TSC last year for lifting 350# rolls of aluminum coil onto a seamless gutter machine. It did what I needed and didn't cost a bundle.
This year I had a skid steer quick attach plate welded to it and now use it on the loader lift arms for the same purpose. Much better visibility, maneuverability and I can reach a little further through the side door of an enclosed trailer to set the coil onto the gutter machine.

After reading this I was gonna pick one up for my log grapple but was too busy on the weekend. Tonight I decided to try my post hole digger first. Works for me.
