Here we go...
I am a knucklehead for making this so much more complex than ever necessary. I am an IT Manager/IT Geek by trade, troubleshooting is my job and I failed to adhere to the KISS principle (Keep It Simple Stupid).
I bought a $6.54 2 Gauge 19" long grounding strap at Wal-Mart. Installed it at 6am this morning. As soon as I had it on the terminal it was readily apparent that the entire problem was the grounding strap from the get-go. The turn signal started blinking steadily and without interruption.
I hopped into the seat, warmed up the plugs, turned it over and she fired right up. This turd hasn't run in six months because I completely over thought/over complicated it!
I'll post a pic of the old ground strap. You would never guess in a million years by observation or touch that there is anything wrong with it. Absolutely no visible sign of corrosion, no cracking, still feels rock solid along the entire length of the cable.
Thank you all for the help. Sad to say that we are moving to the city in 5 days too. Probably won't be around here on the forum much any more.
...and why was the left signal blinking and I couldn't turn it off? Yeah...the hazards had been turned on. "Someone" pulled the switch at sometime in the troubleshooting process. Apparently the right blinker bulb is out.
