DK35 Dead - Won't Start

I re-attached the ground strap yesterday. Same issue. The strap looks good, but I think it's wasted on the inside. If I pulled on it just right, the left turn signal would come on again. Weird thing is I can't turn it off once it starts blinking. Any ideas why it would do that?

Unfortunately for the life of me by looking at the diagram I cannot. replace the strap and sand and clean up the connection point, and start over is all I can suggest. Sorry

The ONLY thing I can even imagine that has the turn signal always on regardless of the switch position is a short of some sort INSIDE the switch itself. I would remove the switch from the circut.

Is there any chance the 4way flasher is on, if one turn signal was burn out it would appear this way when you have power.
Bad ground cable and one burnt out turn signal with the 4 ways on could explain everything.
Good luck

The turn signal could be plugged into the wrong set of wires. Where the turn signal plugs in on the back of the tractor there is an extra set of wires that are always hot, they also have the same plug as the blinker.
As far as not starting if not already mentioned in the last five pages I would first check the starter switch on the clutch (hst model is on the range shifter). I see these go out on all types of tractors, mostly Kubotas.

Ah...yes. Will check the hazard switch, der.

OK. Will post up after I swap the ground strap tonight. If it's that simple then I'll kick myself in the rear and post pics of my own boot print.

Well according to the diagram, the Hazard switch gets its feed from the flasher unit out of its L terminal just as the turn signals. This is hot all of the time regardless of the Key position. BUT the hazard switch when activited feeds both right and left turn signal bulbs at the same time. You see it is wired in parallel with the turn signals and it activates both when it is switched on. I still don't see how if the hazard switch is not engaged and the turn signal is centered to the off position. how the left turn signal is getting feed thru the flasher unit unless there is a problem, a literal short circuit somewhere in the harness or switch or connectors. This is confusing.. and I feel your pain.

It would not hurt to read this thread.. another tractor owner(Massey) with some weird buzzy relays and strange things.
Now resolved by cleaning a wiring connector.

The hot wires that I am talking about are at the back of the tractor. I have plugged into these wires on accident and the hazards will not turn off. Good luck.

Ground cable replaced yet?
If not you could use the ground side of a jumper cable in place of the factory ground cable to see if it is the problem.
What's up Chaz?
