So although my $99 RR fit my Kioti's 60" bucket OK, I could not stand having a tooth stick out of the bucket, so I pulled a tooth....

Fit problems: it worked, but lost the strenght of the outside tooth, prob never be a problem, but I can't let things go!

Nice job. Nice welding table too.

Thanks, without that it would have made muscling that thing around a whole lot harder!

Two observations, the RR is a GREAT well made piece of equipment, and the powdercoating on it was just as tough! I used the 9" grinder on the job, and the powdercoating stood up to it pretty well!

Nice job. Nice plasma to cut 5/8" so clean. Nice TJ Rubi in the background. My fave is 05-06' unlimited rubi.

Nicely done. Yes, I found the powdercoat to be tough too. Took a bit of grinding to get it off.
What size was the pipe you used to align the two pieces. I didn't think of that trick how did it work out?
I'm guessing you removed it before you welded it out so it would not get stuck if the piece pulled from welding.

It was 1" iirc, and yes I did pull it out, and yes it still pulled up! I made the mistake of doing the first top pass a little too long and hot, caused it to warp up a little. No way I would have gotten the pipe out without a fight, but it in no way affected the fit thankfully.

How did you prep the joint? Beveled both sides or just one.
Double bevel with a 1/8" land would give roughly the sameamountt of
weld on each face. If you controlled your weld placement and welded out
evenly (until flush) on both sides then you could minimize or eliminate any
warp or pull.
