"The tragedy of the commons" has been around for centuries and has little to do with global warming.
Yes, Rob-D has made me look more at PV systems and I will probably be installing one.

That's good in my opinion. I look at improving my energy issues and pollution issues at regular intervals. I used to call it the "new energy roundup" and post it to a robotic server based discussion group of friend engineers who I have worked with around the world. I truly enjoyed doing the periodic review.

Don't want to discuss acidification? Why not? Easier just to make some type of biased derogatory assumption? Me; I'm interested in PH values of the areas where I plant stuff. Goof and there might be pink instead of white or just plain nothing. Get the wrong colour and the baddy bugs might come or the goody bugs might die. See, I learned some biology too! If your going to some places in Africa make sure to wear a Royal Purple coat!

Well, on acidification you weren't very specific, whether by accident or design, so did you wish to debate, discuss, hear my opinion? Were you referring to soil acidification, ocean acidification, fresh water acidification, atmospheric acidification, acidification caused by natural processes such as volcanic eruptions, erosion, steam vents? Or you referring to the possibility that the industrial revolution might have contributed in some way to some of these? And if so would you prefer the acidification and other pollution from the widespread use of beasts of burden or should we just relapse into the Stone Age? Of course our population would drop precipitously, are you volunteering you and your family to begin the sacrifice?
