What kind of dogs do you own?

We've got a small terrier mix, a maltese and a beautiful coyote.

I have I big loveable Blood Hound St Bernard mix I call a Bloody Saint. And one smaller mid size Catahoula Leopard dog. Live them both dearly. But neither one is worth a darn as a watch dog.

This is our dog Maveric. He was rescued from a local shelter. He is a Chow/Shar pei mix. Both his parents were at the shelter, and at 87 pounds he is about 30lbs heavier than both parents. Not sure how this happens.

When we first got together, my wife had an older GSD/Coyote mix. She had her since she was a puppy; Stroker was named after a stroked Harley motor... Stroker, was an AWESOME dog! Great personality, extremely well behaved.

How is this Coyote? is it a pretty normal pet, or are you cautious around it? How is it to train, be around family etc?

Our Coyote, Sandy, is a wonderful dog. Not so much like a domestic dog, but not dangerous. She is really fun and interesting.

You can find the entire story here on Tractorbynet in the RuraL Living section under "found a coyote, I think". We've had her for four months now and it has been a wonderful experience.
