Well that must be a relief!
I hope all goes well with the tractor.

No wonder they have to charge exorbitant shop fees.

No, they charge what they do because they are suppose to be the best. They weren't. But they stood up and made it right. That's awesome! If it were me, I would have found my dealership for life. They are the kind of people that I like to deal with. life is full of lemons, its what you do with them that matters. they gave you lemonade.

I hope everything works out and tractor lasts a long time.

Glad you got your tractor back. The ZERO cost shows the GOOD WILL of the dealer.

We all know hind sight is 20/20. Had OP stated: My tractor was running fine. I tried to fix a leak on the steering valve and now it will not start...... took it to dealer...... In his first post instead of #79. I'll bet someone here could have solved the problem. I am sure OP did not mean to leave this out, he must have had a lot more on his mind. He did tell the dealer.

I am surprised it took the dealer so long to put it all together. Service Manger must have thought it was something simple and a less experienced Tech got asigned to the job. I think a more experienced Tech would have started by checking the OP work, or the simple things, then go to the OP work.

The tractor is now sitting in my shop! Mowed my lawn last, and for the most part it seems to run fine. Other than there is an issue with the right break linkage. Have to mess with it later.

My bill $0

Was the engine overhauled? The motor was run hot.

Personally, unless the engine was rebuilt, I think I would be peddling that tractor off just as fast as I could find someone to buy it

Pretty much, I would just hope that the person didnt ask me if that tractor had a 120+ postings on TBN

But hey, the buyer would be buying one of them sharp GREENE machines!!!
