imr 4064 is my most used powder. I love it.. it's a stick powder as you know.. so it gets a lil cutting action on a powder thrower that I don't like.. i like a ball powder for a thrower better.. but I can hand charge 4064 fine...

I just wish I could get it to shoot in my .223. Tried several charges with several bullet types and weights and just couldnt get it to dial in much better than MOA. I had some H380 I tried also and couldnt get much better results. And it always was superb in my 22-250. Ended up trying varget and for MY gun, that is the ticket. 1/4 MOA all day everyday.

yep.. that's the nice thing about hand loading.

you can load for a specific weapon. what you fine tune for your 223 may not be good for somebody elses.. but you can load your own brass that's fire formed to your chamber, and then just neck size it from there on and trim as needed.. and find whatver sweet load your action likes then run it!

Thats what we do in the bolt guns. But I full size my .223 cause its for an AR semi-auto

I use blc2 in .223 and 414 in 22-250 - 30-06 fwtw. Also had to go with a small base die for my Colt 6601 to chamber my loads guess thats common practice but just neck sizing wouldn't work in my gun I am sure.

I generally fl sige anything for a semi auto.. but the brass I segregate for a specific rifle I mainly neck size it only now.. makes it last a few more firings...

I am signed up with OOW, they have a pallet of the day or sometimes week. The last pallet deal was for a pallet of tracer rounds.

I figured it has a slightly tight chamber? Even with gaged ammo I was getting some fail to chamber stoppages real nasty to clear.

wow.... and you are sure it wasn't a neck issue? was it chambering most of the way but not dropping into battery like a bulged base.. or was it stoppin at the throat?
