Here are some pix from a few days ago of Sandy at Southwest Wildlife. She lives with a couple of dog pals. Has a little pool to jump into. A house to get out of the rain and get some security, etc.
They are working with her to ensure her mental health. This involves clicker training, visits in her enclosure by the staff, walks and games. I really appreciate all the care and thought they are putting into her new life!
It's not the wide open spaces that she'd really enjoy. Or the chance to patrol and sing. But she'll be fine and will probably get moved to a bigger spot before long. She will also get a male coyote pal to live with when one is found. She seems to be happy and stable.
It still seems strange to see her in that environment instead of bounding around the yard or making eye contact from behind a distant bush, rolling around with Bei Bei, or chasing her to get my glove back.
