According to that chart, the lift capacity for the 400CX is higher 500mm ahead of the pivot pin than at the pivot pin. That can't be right...

Ya, I think they crossed those numbers up, it came from a pamphlet I picked up at the dealer.

I've noticed that also.. All of Deere's documentation on the 400 cx has been like that since the beginning. I think the 500mm one is right, and it should be higher at the pivot.... Or maybe that's wishful thinking:laughing:
It would make sense, since the 400cx is supposed to have 20 or 25% more lift than the 400x

My 200CX on my 2520 can lift a round bale (800#'s??) to full height with either a spear or artillian forks. With the Artillian Forks and the Cattle squeeze (stamped shippign weight 960#'s) it can curl and lift anywhere, but can only lift about 24" before it stops lifting...

Interesting information Artillian. Thanks. According to that utility, when you have a loader installed you are to refer to the loader manual for proper ballast. Interestingly, the manual says that if you're operating a loader you should have ALL of the following:

1600 mm (63 in.) or greater rear tread setting.
Rear tires filled with liquid ballast.
Four rear wheel weights. (400X)
Six rear wheel weights. (400CX)
500 kg (1102 lb) minimum 3-point hitch ballast.

My backhoe, weighing in at about 1425 lbs., meets the 3-point hitch ballast requirement, but without the ballast in the tires and on the wheels, I'm going to have problems.

I have a 2520 with everything attachments forks on it. I have been hauling wood pellets and I have found that mine will pick up 20 bags of wood pellets. It won't raise them to full height by any means, but it will lift them around 3 feet roughly. It easily unloads a trailer. I keep extra pallets and put 20 bags on each pallet and then haul them with the forks. Works great for me!
