The Kubota service manager says the case will cost $595 and labor will be $950. More if there is damage inside. I may have to sell my farm to pay for it. He said chewing gum wouldn't fix it.

No sense selling the farm to fix the tractor, is it? Surely there are other options. Sell this tractor, with a discount for the repair, and buy a cheaper tractor? It hurts, but it may be better than the alternative.

Today I got the "It's all torn apart and it's gonna cost more than double the estimate" phone call from the Fort Smith Kubota dealer. The service manager cut me off when I tried to talk so I asked to talk to the owner, I was told he is out of town. I called the receptionist and told her that the most dissatisfied customer she ever heard of wants to talk to the owner. She said he was in a meeting in Dallas. I asked if he was in a meeting with the most dissatisfied customer in the world. I wrote a management book that does not treat meeting kindly. Meetings are used as an excuse not to work. Anyway I am waiting for his call. I am going to tell him that there is an $80 device called a bore scope that allows a person to see the damage without tearing something apart. My BX22 has just been used around the house, never commercially, and the transmission eats itself up just driving along to the tune of $3,195?

Can you tell I'm not happy with Kubota the company and the Kubota dealer in Fort Smith? Oh by the way, because they tore the transmission apart instead of looking inside with a bore scope, I own them $450 already.

Wow. That's how many I have on my RTV. Any repair that costly would ruin me. Hopefully the owner can/will help you out.
