Couldn,t the money have been put to many, many better uses ? What some people choose to do with other peoples money is head scratching.

exactly what I was thinking, I also think things could have been done a little different, but hey, there is allways more then one way to skin a cat. Neat vid

Agree they where trying to do some lifting with dozers. Would have been better to use the ripper bar for lifting if they had them.

They should have used the dozers for pulling and the hoes for lifting!

Seriously... who pulls with an excavator anyway? Besides these guys...

Nice work on getting the tree out of the hole and into it's "planter" though!

I was kind of wondering the same thing, though not being a heavy equipment operator I assumed that this was common practice.

seriously, *raises hand* i would! more so when tracks of excavators and dozers were not enough alone. to keep things moving. and only time things really moved, was when the backhoe on excavator. was stabbed down into the ground. and then brought in towards the excavator.

with the 555C TLB i have, done same thing multi times, dragging my rear end out of ugly situations with backhoe. were i was up to the belly in mud and tires just spinning in the mud.

Moving big heavy fragile objects require a smooth constant pull. Most heavy movers use big 6x6 trucks ballasted with concrete.

Shocking the load like these guys are doing isn't a preferred practice.

That is just a few miles from me... it was a big deal to the community and those boys did a great job moving it! I have tons of respect for guys like that...take a big yellow machine and make things HAPPEN! Kudos to the crew!
