You did good to send info...prior posts lead one to conclude that she had done significant wrenching in past, just not tractors...we all wish her well with this project.

Quoting her first post: " i've built muscle cars fur the past 25+ yrs. as well as motorcycles, specially vintage bikes. Im perty successful with tinkerin bout any motor/engine so far. "

Cool, You might have a pump overhaul in your future madam. I'd add 5 gallons of oil and run it for a while, drain filter and reuse the same oil minus the crud several time to cleans inside of the system before putting new clean oil. I'm wondering if this thing sat out and got bunch of moisture in it. I wondered if they had the right oil in it or they just put some unknown oil in it. Mystick oil sold by TSC is not too bad and it meets NH 134a.

glad you're gainin on it.

JC,

PS. ain't nottin wrong being different:)... I ain't your average inginner either.:D

well guys, that sure didnt last long. only 3 menuts ta plug back up. im thinkin it's time furra new hydraulic/tranny filter. altho this one's sposta be cleanable, ive alredy flushed the filter once before. n again this time i drained n flushed the system. wen i filled the filter with fuel to flush it, it sure didnt wanna seep thru the filter very fast. i dunno how many other times my pa had cleaned this one before he passed. n i had no idea wut wunc wuz cleanable aint cleanable no more.
now, were do i find a filter fur my ford. it's bout 12" long n bout 4" diameter. mesh outside. the filter guys, the filter...
