They couldn't at least "rent" you one of their used pickups?
Yeesh.

Considering I'm used to pulling my 28' gooseneck trailer/mobile shop with me to jobs, anything less really doesn't cut it anymore. I'm spoiled being used to having everything with me all of the time.

My quality plus Ford dealer offers no loaner/rental, either, other than maybe a ordinary car.
Does your's? That would be nice.

My dealer is footing the bill for my rental, I think mostly because it took them a week to find out the motor was bad. With that said, they only cover up to $35/day at the Enterprise next door.

$35 for a replacement truck or just a car?

For whatever they have at Enterprise. It is grape harvest season here, trucks are pretty scarce apparently.

Not to mention, if it can't tow my trailer it really isn't an improvement over a car.

You raise enough cain they will. My chevy dealer tried this with me on my Dmax. Tried to put me in a Cavalier. That was not happening so I ended up with a used F350 dually off the lot.

Same thing happened when a city plow hit my parked F150. Tried to put me in a Geo Metro. I ended up with another F150 but it was 2 wheel drive.

I had my truck in the shop a few years ago; they provided me a rental(my Dodge). We had a small landscape company, and were always towing a trailer.

They got us an F150, but no tow package... But, at least were able to get by with tools in back of truck.

I guess it is the same as tractors, shop dealers over brand. I would buy another Ford strictly from my experience with my dealer. Oh and no truck today either, primary turbo is bad (I told them I thought it was, but they had to get it running to know for sure) I'll have it back tomorrow, lol.

You are right Brian. I had a great dealer with my problematic Dodge 2500 Hemi and because of that I would buy another from them. On the other hand I had to get a lawyer twice to get satisfaction with my S-10 Blazer and I pretty much hate lawyers.

A good dealer makes all the difference and they are the ones who make it through tough economic times due to the customer loyalty. My local Ford dealer has a very bad reputation on used cars. Never heard any complaints on new cars or service but because of that I drive 60 miles each way to buy from a honest small town dealer.
