Running RFM on the PTO vs wheels

Thanks much to those with the useful advice, specifically the anti-scalp roller. I'll try to find one and add it to the mower to save the lawn.

I'll just start using the wheels like a mower is supposed to be used, and if I break off a wheel then it will probably be time for a new mower deck and I'll hopefully know a lot more about what I'm looking for by then. I don't know if the wilfe will like the expensive red lawn ornament though if that time comes.....

Ask your dealer...most RFMs have them as optional equipment. If not, there's not much to them. Odds are, you can find one that won't require too much modification.
As far as using the RFM...yep, do that. Just keep the spindles (the wheels pivot on vertical spindles) greased and keep an eye on them...if you see a weld cracking, you can fix it before it fails completely.

The dealer I bought from has been in business over 50 years and has been selling Mahiindra for 12, it's a family operation with long-time roots in the area so I thought I had 'vetted' them properly. I also thought the fact that they had shopped around and found a better deal on accessories like the mower deck than just selling Mahindra was a good thing, but this is a learning process so I'll take it as an expensive lesson learned. You should be okay with your finish mower, it should last for quite a few years and if something breaks it probably can be fixed. Did your dealer check to make sure the PTO shaft is the proper length?

He probably did, and that is why he told him run it with the mower up, because when
its down there is not enough engagement in the shaft 'cause it's cut a tad short. :)

There are way too many to post here, but this is a link for internet acronyms:
Internet Acronyms Dictionary

I haven't gone through the list, so be advised some might be uncouth and vulgar (sorta like me, but without the hat).
