Ford 2000 Generator 2 electric connections or 1?

Hi, I went to replace the generator on a 1967 Ford 2000, Gas, and found that the old Generator has two electrical connections, while the new generator, from Steiner, has only one Electrical connection. Pictures of both old and new below. Do you have any ideas? Will it work with one connection?
Both old and new Generators have the Tach connection.
( Replacing because when I got the Tractor this summer, the Gen light would come on at lower RPM's, then it came on all the time, and its not charging the battery)

Never seen a replacement genny for that application with one connection. I guess I'd be on the phone to Steiner and find out how to connect the generator they sold you. Shouldn't be too much to ask; they took your credit card info.

Spoke to Steiner this morning. They said their catalog is wrong, they do not have a generator for a Ford 2000. So they are taking this one back.

weird.. 1 wire.. wonder what that thing fits if it has no field and armature... permanent field? and just an arm connection like a dynamo maybee?

Good question.
I orderded one from the supplier that Amazon lists. Called them first to check. See what happens when it arrives...

You didn't happen to notice who made that "one wire generator" did you?

Bosch, Delco, Mitsubishi, ??? Would be curious...

I just looked at it again, I could not see any origin info, other than a label that said Dyanamo 12 V

Had to go look up a Fordson E27n, after seeing it in your list Cal. I hadn't heard of that one before, interesting looking model.

ahh.. it IS listed as a dynamo. I figured it must be.

since it had no adjustable 3rd brush for field current i was figuring it must be a permanent field setup being 1 wire. 'dynamo' answers that.
