My dog my tractor buddy was laid to rest today.

Was a tear jerker at the end wasn't it Boris. The true story told the tale of this Akita going back to the train station for 10 years and waiting for his master each day, even though he never came home on the train. Amazing. Thanks for posting, very hard to watch, yet brings back great memories of our best freind Zoe. She was an Akita,she was 13 or 14 when she passed. She was the best alarm clock I ever had. She would wake me at 6:00am every morning, with her damp nose on my arm. She would make the rounds to all the neighors, for a treat and a back rub. She would go down to the hyway and drag home a leg from road killed deer, several times a week, in the spring when the snow melted, there would be leg bones everywere.:laughing:

Yes, good memories of my Akita/Elk-hound cross. By far the smartest dog i've ever had. I believe he had a better grasp of english then i have.

Sorry for your loss. I like this quote. Heck, I still get a tear to my eyes when I think about little Freckles who 12 months ago, had the misfortune of running in front of my car.

One moment I was out trying to gather the 4 dogs from a looming storm, 30 minutes later in a downpour, I was firing up the backhoe to bury her. It was a very lousy day.

Sorry for your loss Randall. We just had to put down our Jack Russell a few weeks ago after 14 years of companionship. She was just getting too old to enjoy life. I'm sure your pup had a great life as ours did. I wish you the best.

Thanks, I do appreciate your kindness. Jack (my dog) was a great little friend who was always up for a day outside in the woods or any other adventure. I hope that everybody has a chance to have a little friend like him.

Sorry for your loss.....we lost two last year. One to bone cancer, one to old age and loneliness after her brother passed. Couldn't be without a dog. We have two new rescue dogs......very different personalities but loyal and true. There's something about a dog........better than most people. You're lucky to have had your buddy.......I am sure he felt the same way. Hang in there.
