Do a "Search" for "Grab Hooks"..."Bolt on" or "Weld on" Hooks and you will find many references and suggestions.....more than I would mention here. Happy New Year Mike

I bought a 68" tooth bar on an online auction for $140.00 - less than half of the $350.00 that a new one costs. It's from an equipment rental store near KC, and is brand new. Going to have to cut 20" out of the center of it to make it fit my Kubota, but figure it's worth the work and risk.

A toothbar is a hunk of metal that reinforces the cutting edge and has teeth that are removable (some are welded)...how hard can it be....choose size to match FEL, then look at weight and price. Nobody can tell if the welds will hold until years of use. I've actually never seen a toothbar failure report on TBN.

My toothbar weighs 130 lbs. It is a John Deere.

Actually... It has happened..this bar was never welded properly at the factory. As you can see in the photo the MIG weld never achieved any penetration on the bar.

Well, I'll be hornswaggled!!! Right you are...sucker busted right clean off...never thought a factory welder would have just barely tacked a tooth

I stand better informed and corrected...thanks! I see several others have had the same thing happen, seems always to a flat bar. Never seems to mess anything up, simply weld back on properly and proceed.

Makes you wonder if it was 4:45 on a Friday nite when he started on that one and had a pretty little gal waiting to go out with him:D
Or it was Monday morning, and he was the "just hired new guy." We will never know:)
