To me, a smooth operating 3pt hitch should be standard expectation on ANY Kubota tractor. If they need to cut cost, cut it on something else. The 3pt hitch operation is a core function of the tractor and should not be a place to cut corners. From an engineering and manufacturing stand point, I can't for the life of me understand how the "accepted tolerance level" for the operation of the 3pt hitch could possibly be that wide. Anything from smooth to bouncing the tractor is "acceptable for that model" according to Kubota. How can it be left up to chance as to which one you get? The MX5100 is not a cheap tractor, the configuration I purchased retailed for $30K. A $30K tractor should not have a "tolerance" for manufacturing or design that includes a jerky 3 pt hitch period.
Let us know when and how things were resolved. Inquiring minds want to know. This has been an interesting and enlightening thread. Fortunately, all of my dealings with Kubota have been good.

That old Kioti was engineered back in the day when Kioti and Kubota were collaborating on design engineering.

The Kioti brand is often mistaken for Japanese tractor maker Kubota. Both companies use a distinctive orange paint and have very similar styling. In the early 1980s the two companies collaborated to produce the “Kubota 02″ product line. Daedong provided the transmission and the steel for the body. Kubota provided everything else. After the collaboration, Kubota accused Daedong of stealing engineering secrets. The conflict culminated in 2002 when Kubota filed a lawsuit against Daedong. The lawsuit was drawn out over five years, but finally settled out of court in 2007 for undisclosed compensation. Both companies still maintain very similar design st

So do you think Kubota taught Kioti how to make their 3PH jerky too? I'd sue them too if they stole my jerky hitch design.:laughing:

My bad, I thought that the Kioti LK35 was a current model because the OP said it was under warranty.

Well the LK35 seems to be an Australian only model but if it is the same tractor that was sold here as a LK3054 then it is one of the old step thru designs that was likely engineered back when Kubota and Kioti were still collaborating together.
