Actually I'd rather hear why/if my logic is flawed on the class issue b/c I've read several multipage threads on the topic and no one has made this specific argument.
Sigh.
Ok, by "Specific Argument" I have to assume you mean that:
You personally have not seen the argument made stating that the Max Series, specifically the 22-25, does not compare to the traditional SCUT's, like the BX, GC, Series One and so on, based on it's size and weight and the fact that other brands have "CUT's" that compare much more closely,,, Yada Yada Yada.
If ^ is what you mean, then you are reading threads that I have not seen. ^ has been pretty much talked to death. Ironically, here we are still talking about it. Maybe you agree, maybe you don't agree with the argument. But that is the argument none the less.
But the most ardent Mahindra bashers use this SCUT/CUT issue as the basis of their false advertising claims.
Allow me to put your first and second thought closer together.
"I'd rather hear why/if my logic is flawed on the (CLASS) issue b/c I've read several multipage threads on the topic and (NO ONE HAS MADE THIS ARGUMENT)".
"But the most ardent Mahindra bashers (USE THIS SCUT/CUT ISSUE AS THE BASIS) of their false advertising claims.
?????????
And clearly if Kubota corporate made a comparison video between a Max and a BX then they think the two are basically in the same class and that's what matters.
If ^ was factual, you would have a point. But Since YOU DIDN'T see the video, you would not know that your assumption is incorrect.
Let's just try this. Let's take what we do ACTUALLY know, and then use that to SPECULATE as to why Kubota pulled their Vid.
Kubota in FACT, was answering Mahindras Original Marketing Claims.
Kubota in the video, specifically called the MAX out as NOT being a SCUT. Therefore, they do not feel the two are in the same class.
In response to the Kubota Vid, Mahindra Don posted what many consider to be a very distasteful 15 Min video reply.
This thread is full of Fiery Rhetoric.
There ARE several threads debating, often not nicely, the class connection between the two tractors.
And, with out official reason, Kubota removed their vid.
Now, unless Kubota makes some kind of official statement, we will never REALLY know why they took the vid down. So, the only thing left for those who are curious, is to speculate.
Given what we do know, it is REASONABLE to assume that the negativity surrounding this comparison is not the kind of attention that Kubota wants. They may have took their vid down prior to Mahindra Don's vid. I will have to take everyone's word on that because I don't know for certain when they took it down. But before, or after, it is also reasonable to assume that they saw something like this coming. It is also reasonable to assume that given the controversy over Mahindras original marketing strategy, they decided perpetuating that with a vid of their own was less then a good Idea.
See how I structure my assumptions? They are not "Baseless". There is supporting evidence. That in no way means that I am correct. But it holds more water then arguments that are simply made "off the cuff".
So, getting back to your post:
1) Yes, your logic is flawed on the class issue.
2) No, Kubota does not think the BX and the MAX are in the same Class.
3) Your "Original question" I answered in my first response. And I have laid out MY reasoning for my thoughts on the matter here. (Please note I was very clear in saying that was my "Take" on the matter".
4) you may choose not to speculate, but speculation is ALL there is.
Now that we have taken care of your issues. Let's get back to the question I asked.
Why do YOU think Kubota took the video down?
