Nice video Roger, thanks. It seems like it was a no brainer for you since you got the imatch for $250, but do you think it's worth the difference in price at full retail? Do they have weight ratings?
Great comparison, Roger!
Thanks for taking the time to make the video Roger.
Thanks for the video Roger, So if I match and Landpride same price which one?
WOW, here's another comparison for you. Princess Auto has it for $279 and the exact same one is on sale at Harbor Freight for $99! No doubt which end Canadians are supposed to stick it! Never thought I'd think of stoping into my JD dealer to look for a deal!
I also forgot to say that I have better visibility when hooking up to a implement with the imatch.
I looked at the one at princess auto. It is a Speeco. That is what the HF quick hitch is made over.
Nice comparison Roger. I've not been overly thrilled with any thing harbor freight especially if i have to use it. Their stuff usually resembles the real thing but thats where it stops. I bought a speeco speedpro and felt the same way about it. I returned it after countless problems.
Dave
The JD hitch requires bushings so the Land Pride seems to be the better deal IMHO.
Well I have the Harbor Freight quick hitch and I've had absolutely no problems with it. Yeah, it may be a little sloppy on the hooks but I've never seen that it has caused a problem. Yes, the higher priced ones were prettier to look at, paint, welds, all that. I gave $69 for mine when they had a sale and I had a coupon that they applied to it too. Actually this is my second one. The first one was the one that was too narrow. I spread it to work but when I found out that there was one with the correct dimensions between the lower hooks, I bought it. It's rated for 40 HP I think but I have it on a 60 horse tractor and still haven't had a problem. I may someday but till then, I'll keep using it.
I'd like to have a prettier one but I'm not giving the money for it. I don't see the advantage. It is after all, just some steel welded together and it works for me. If I break it, I'll rethink this.
PS, I've looked at some of the hitches that are double to triple the price of the harbor freight and I would almost bet money that they came out of the same factory in china or turkey or timbucktoo or where ever.. In other words, other than paint and labeling, they are identical.
The Imatch and the landpride are nice pieces. If the prices were closer, I'd buy one.
one more PS,
Nice video.![]()
for some reason, i can't get the video to load. oh well, i'm of opinion that whichever QH i end up buying, it'll have to be with the caveat that i try it out on my attachments - with little to no adjustments on my part. i'd probably get the TXC or JD becasue of that - both dealers are good to work with.
