I put in a nice spoon roast (sirloin) about 45 minuets ago starting to smell awfully good in the kitchen. Thinking of wrapping some onions in foil with little butter and spice to go with it and green veggies. There goes the diet.

He will have to do something like insult my dog before my chain will get pulled. No one insults my dog.

The new age of detection available to the health insurance industry will probably jerk a lot of chains around here. In Texas some companies already run about 5 test on people and if you get a bad reading each will cause your premium to jump up. The employer passes the increase just to the employees who fail the test. It will be only a few more years you will be able to enjoy food as you do now but eventually your weight, cholesterol level will cost a lot more than those chicken livers. Enjoy while you can. They won't tell you you cannot eat it --- they will just make it so you can't afford it.

Starting next year they will first nix the smokers. They can and do test it now with blood test that can tell if you smoked in the last two weeks. With Obama care the rates are going to be $4,700. more per year than those who do not smoke.

For breakfast, I had an orange and sliced a golden delicious apple in very thin slices sprinkled with salt substitute. I also had an Eggo waffle. I ate nothing else until this evening when I had a big tossed salad with very low cal dressing. I also had a can of Progresso Lite potato and bacon soup that's about 250 calories for the entire can. I had about 10 saltine crackers with my salad and soup. That's it so far today, and I'm pretty stuffed at the moment.

Tonight I made some breaded ocean perch with home made french fries chased with a peeled orange each. Turned out pretty good deep fried in canola oil so not GOOD FOR ME but good tasting none the less. Wish I had some fresh walleye or Small mouth bass or Lake Erie Yellow Perch but we finished off last years catch some months back. Not any ice worth fishing on around here so still can do nothing on the fresh fish front.

It's because the Government is now getting into another business, besides the tax business, and it will collect a lot more it is called Health Insurance (aka obama care). They don't want to actually pay for the health care and doctors, just collect, so they are going preventive.

I have to agree with Brin. Chicken livers may be an acquired taste if you've never had them but it is a very delicious organ meat and can be cooked in many ways. If you don't like the smell of them cooking then do it on the BBQ or just find a good Jewish deli and get some chopped liver spread. Delish.

Sharn Jean and I are kinda like Jack Spratt and his wife. I can't abide the chicken livers; Sharn Jean, however loves them...I like the gizzards and she doesn't. No fighting here.
