Eddie...I looked at his picture and then thought he was just kidding us after rereading his post...I don't think he has put any concrete down yet...that's why he said he worked so hard to make it look like dirt...If I'm right...it is dirt LOL

Bob

Bob, you missed this post? His concrete has been curing for a couple of weeks.

Terry: The next time our furniture is dusty, I'm just gonna spray it with a clear coat so my wife can tell everyone that the 'dusty look' is just the latest "thang." If I can eliminate her having to dust the furniture, I'll be her eternal hero.:)

Hard to see for sure what you did. Is the concrete dyed or did you stain it after it dried?

Nice to see the posts in the ground!!!!

Eddie

Poured....cured...one coat of acid stain...probably going to do a second coat after we raise some rafters and before I close the place in with metal...too easy to just do the wash-down with a pressure washer out in the open like this...

King Rafters and Girders.jpg

Got a good day in today with my "Wood Butchers" Charles and Marty....got the King Rafters hung, cut all the common rafters, and even got some of the girders hung up as well...

Sweet working in a Texas spring day...

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!!

Man, that Texas springtime weather and sun must be taking its toll on you-- the brevity of your posts is out of character and is leaving us gasping for more details in your unique style and vernacular vocabulary:laughing:. Wishing you luck when butchering that lumber and raising the roof, so you "be careful out there" too:thumbsup:.

you better get started, crawfish season is almost over. After that you might have to go with the tried and tru BBQ, and of course the obligitory cold beverages. You would be surprised what you can get done with enough "cold beverage". Concrete down here is running about $115/yd.

Well...I started off quiet because of the work...and then because there were just no words...

I am an associate member of West EMS...

..it was a tragic month down here in Texas...our Emergency Services community was dealt an enormous blow with the plant blast in West...but true to the calling of all those who serve, our Brothers and Sisters nationwide closed ranks with the survivors and did the job...the town of West lives and will thrive again...and I am proud beyond words to be a Texan...

Roofed.jpg

The house continues to grow...Me an the boyos got the roof on...I had hoped to close it all in, but am immensely happy with what we got accomplished...next month should see it all trimmed out...

Understand the no words part. Still don't understand why they attempt to fight such dangerous fires. Sad for victims families. 6 lawsuits filed so far.
