Corey, the Kubota 5740 and the JD 5115M are very different price range tractors. In all probability the tradein value you got from the Deere dealer actually hides the amount they are discounting the 5115M. There's more profit, so more wiggle room.

We all try to avoid crappy tractors but sometimes some of us get a lemon. Then your dealer become VERY VERY important. My lemon is painted lemon yellow but my dealer is bending over backwards to make it right.

Well based on the Deere tractor builder (that the dealer and I did together in his office.) it came to $120,000 for the tractor (with all accessories available), loader with toothbar and grapple, front blade with hydraulic rotator and front pallet forks and I pay $94,000 the dealer price listing was $91,000 and with the $25,000 for the kubota puts me paying $69,000 for everything.

I hope it does work out for you.

Did you already get the Deere? If so do you have a thread dealing with it? I would be interested in reading up on it.

Thanks corey. It will work out. Got a complete new komatsu engine, not a reman, at 561 hrs. And a new undercarriage is expected and promised soon. I just wanted to point out that even the best name brands have issues sometimes and your dealer is the one that makes it right.

Congratulations on your new tractor! It sounds like you got a really good deal. Of course, by the rules, if there are no pictures then it didn't happen....

I didn't get it yet, the dealer is installing all the options (hopefully tomorrow I will take delivery.) yes I do have a thread but it's been quiet for a bit since I'm waiting for the accessories.

That's awesome that it's working out for you, I agree that even the best manufacturers make the occasional lemon (even just one in a line up of perfect tractors can be a lemon.) my kubota dealer was just out to get the sale and that was it for me, buddy buddy until I signed the papers then it was like he was wandering why I was still there. I really hope this one will be different.

Thank you, trust me when I take delivery there will be a ton of pics, right now the only pics are of it on the lot (I think he got sick of me calling and asking about the tractor) so he gave me the keys so I can come and go and drive it around whenever I want.

So do I but its hard to avoid things like improper set-up by the dealer before delivery.

Have you ever had that happen to you?

Yep, with my 2660, the 3 point quarter inching stops were improperly set-up, and the hydrostatic pedals weren't properly adjusted either (would creep when not pressing on them.)
