4Shorts: Since I don't do modifications on my equipment, well not much anyway, here is another Beagle pic. This one of my current Beagles. The smaller one is in my Avatar, as well, but then I added the red and white. I know you miss yours. She was a pretty girl. I think of mine sometimes, as the "class clowns", and they bring a smile often!

OMG they are absolutely beautiful. Don't know how you got them to sit long enough to get a photo like that but it's one of the nicest beagle photo's I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing

Paul & Farmgirl:

My Mom had a beagle and I wish she was here so I could show her your beagle pictures. We now return you to our regularly scheduled thread.

To bad you don't have a photo Matt. Would have enjoyed seeing it. Did she have it when you were growing up at home or after you were moved out?

Well I always questioned myself for putting lights on the BX because I figured I'd never be out in the dark with it and with only 16 hours on the machine that's exactly what I had to do last evening while trying to clear some property out on the back of our shop. The trees are getting way out of hand. Tall and not looking that stable anymore. With the high winds we've been getting the last few years I was getting a little concerned that a tree would crack off and come down through the roof of the shop. Well as you can see by the photo's I had every reason to be concerned.

It looks like that tree was getting ready to make some unplanned mods to your workshop! :-0

Mom bought Rex before I was born, and he was in his mid teens when health issues forced her to have him put down in the late 1960's. To my knowledge there are no pictures of Rex. He was a good dog.

Are we going to be calling you Paul Bunyan next? If you had a New Holland tractor for wood chipping, it could be called your blue ox Babe.

My thoughts exactly

I'm sure he was a great beagle. They are so kind but here in Newfoundland they are so abused. They are used for hunting rabbits and guys aren't taking good care of them like they should but I'm happy to report that new laws and public awareness has greatly reduced the abuse and some guys have ended up in court. Wish I was the judge in those cases

Well Matt I don't know about me becoming Paul Bunyan but I'm getting it done. Moved a rock last evening I never thought possible to move with a BX. Its about 1/3 the size of the tractor. Right now I can't get the 5740 down to where I'm working so the BX is doing it all.
There's pretty big stumps to dig out as well.
Glad I installed the extra lighting as well. I'm really needing it although I didn't think I'd use it at the time of installation.
Sorry about the picture quality. iPhone pics

Paul;

Don't worry about your iPhone pics they are great for the application at hand (and convenient)

Great job with your little workhorse!

Wow, Paul...you've got more rocks than dirt. :D:D
Good thing you've got that BX. What a workhorse they are and what beautiful modifications you have done. Thanks for all the tips and ideas.

Thanks guys. Happy to hear you don't mind the iPhone pics for awhile. I'll post better ones later on. Yes we have lots of rocks. They call this island the rock for a reason.
Well I better get back to work

Here's a photo of what I'm up to today.

I actually train and show them in obedience, when I get time to actually travel to shows. When I got my first one out of a shelter, (the largest in my avatar), I was told "You can't do obedience with a Beagle!" I'm sort of one of those that you never tell them, "they can't", or "no"! Since I am enjoying your photos so much, here's one more of mine. This was on the Christmas cards that I sent out this past December!

My wife and I really enjoyed that photo. They are the cutest beagles I've seen in a loooong time. I really never thought that a beagle could be trained. When ours got on a scent there was no stopping her. That being said. If you called out to her 40-50 times she might come over to you

They are so loyal though. Ours would follow me around all the time and when I would stop walking she would as well and just look up at me.
Thanks for posting the picture. We really enjoyed it. Here's a little video of my sons little beagle last year when has just got married. His beagle was even at the wedding. Like he always says. He don't know he's a dog so he's part of the family.

4shorts: That was hilarious! Mine would have de-stuffed the toy in a nanosecond! The baying of your son's dog on the video, just sent mine out baying to make sure they got *their* chance to bark too!
